Steam vs. Patreon: Key Differences

With the Steam release getting closer, it's time to go over the differences between Patreon and Steam and what changes are coming in the future.
I've included a handy comparison table above, but here's a quick summary:
Patreon: Get early access to the latest update (3-4 weeks before Steam), participate in polls to decide on new content, and enjoy exclusive perks like progress reports, sneak peeks & Discord access.
Steam: One-time purchase for a polished, bug-free version, with free future updates but access later than Patreon.
Additionally, there won't be any more free releases for now.
This means V0.16 will be the last free version available for the foreseeable future.
There might be free releases again at a much later date, but they would be several versions behind the Steam release and delayed significantly.
Why?
Steam does not allow developers to offer a worse deal to its customers compared to other platforms.
That means I can't continue offering the game for free while others are paying for it on Steam, especially if it's the same version (like V0.17).
What does this mean for Patreon?
This rule only applies to direct game sales, not subscription-based platforms like Patreon.
Since you're not buying a game here but supporting development in exchange for exclusive perks (including early access), this is not an issue.
For that reason, future releases (starting with V0.18) will be labeled as "BETA" here on Patreon.

Here's an idea when you finish the game keep it in the subscription page after all bugs been fixed then after like idk 2 weeks move it to the shop tab on patreon with the links for pc mac or phone
