I don't know if this has been brought up, but now that we have met Sikozu, the actress Rae Lee Hill, had previously auditioned for Commandant Grayza, but the felt she was "too likeable" and theywent on to create the role of Sikozu for her.

A lot of people I know had R2D2 as their go-to non-verbal droid of choice, and as much I do love R2, 1812 was the one I knew as a kid. Genuinely, I think my appreciation of classical music started with that little bot. Is it strange that my noted faves in this series have been a greedy, royal slug; a hallucination; and a musical repair-bot? 2) Watching this episode has reminded me of another way in which Farscape was ahead of its time, particularly for its genre. Consider the gender make-up of the main cast. This show is one that looks at the concept of the token female character and scorns it as much as it can. 3) Chiana's distrust of new characters is one thing, but it's also a reminder of just how old of a character she is now. She wasn't original cast, she wasn't even supposed to be recurring! She was intended to be a one-shot character! Can you even imagine the show without her?

A really interesting character with a lot of story potential, and the way Raelee Hill played that intense curiosity and observation skills was cool. As an angsty teenager at the time, John's fatalism about what he sees as his doomed romance with Aeryn really spoke to me. After everything they've been through, he's finally at a point where he just feels like he has no choice except to move on. I got to a place with their 'will they, won't they' that shows should never want fans to reach - I just didn't really want them to be together any more, even though Ben and Claudia still had great chemistry together.

2025-10-17 14:50:24 +0000 UTCI like this episode (watching FLG reactions always make the episodes better!) I didn’t care for the next episode. No spoilers but be prepared. Overall, I liked this season. Yet, I think the show lost a little of its mojo. But that is just my opinion. Don’t get me wrong — Farscape season 4 is still very good. Just that I liked season 2 and season 3 better.

The show was originally cancelled on their very last day of filming this season, and there were no plans to continue it. So we all had to go into this knowing that this was all there would ever be. Thankfully due to the outcry from fans worldwide and the Save Farscape movement, They were able to get a miniseries greenlit and it was released near the end of 2004. A year and a half after the final episode. I still have my old Save Farscape pin that I got at one of the events, displayed on a shelf. There’s actually a great little documentary about it on YouTube. You’re in for a hell of a great ride this season. Enjoy 😊

I’m in the camp of s4 being probably the weakest, but a big part of that is the show subverting every single one of my expectations. and I really hope you don’t let any of us influence how you enjoy this final season. I always have to sympathize with john when he says he’s not coming back because it doesn’t change anything “and it makes me sad.” made me really sad too, still does. trying to move on from aeryn is sort of healthy at this point, except he’s just diving headfirst into wormholes. and that’s no better than a broken heart. those don’t create as much collateral damage at least. some tidbits: as you guessed, claudia wasn’t pregnant for this ep. she does have a couple kids, but that was after farscape ended. 🎶🥁🎺💥🎶 1812 at last! one of the best characters in the show for sure, and my favorite part of the livestreams when this ep airs. oh and he’s painted like the french flag 🇫🇷. 🎶🥁🎺💥🎶 I love how the grudeks pronounce sputniks name (SIK—ko—zu SHA—nu) but it’s sih-KO-zu to everyone else. “I tried!”
