We have Grisha showing up and integrating himself into the community, and how that affected Shadis which caused his jealousy. The icing on the cake is learning that Shadis, the trainer for the scouts, is the one who tried to sabotage Eren's gear and Eren still succeeded in how to use the gear. It's great stuff.
