The guards were indeed terrible guards, but that kind of makes sense; they think Sikozu is some sort of high ranking special agent, so they may be taking a professional disinterest in an act of self preservation. They had backed all the way off. Also, there's a good chance they're conscripts, who generally won't care as much, and may also be annoyed about being assigned guard duty in the first place. And from a "this is a TV show" standpoint, it may have been done that way for the benefit of the audience, but within the universe of the show they weren't speaking that loudly. Sort of a non-diegetic volume boost. 1812 was last seen with Rygel in the transport pod, effecting repairs. There's no reason to assume he left the pod before it launched, or that he wouldn't have been brought from the pod, they probably just didn't want to take the prop out to the location filming if they didn't have to. Grayza's implant might well be reducing her lifespan, but Sebaceans live for 200 years or more, and we don't know how significant a reduction she experiences. Overall I rather like this two-parter. It's twisty-turny in quite a fun way - Vela and Lagoon Man were BOTH baddies, and he killed her because (he thought) she was going to cut him out on the profits to be made. It has a good balance between seriousness and humor, and while it also has some sadness, it's nowhere near the levels the show can (and often does) go to. I'm glad Jool got a happy offramp. Up until now the happiest departure has been the morbidly morose departure of Stark, who left to hunt ghosts. And she's still alive, so she could turn back up at any point. She wasn't being hunted by the Peacekeepers before, but she did just escape their custody with people who are. I do always get a little confused by the closing scene with Grayza and Bracka; the way she's talking implies what she wants kept quiet is something salacious - not just that their quarry escaped - and the mind leaps to John leaving her tied up on the bed, but she freed herself from that before anyone discovered her, so what doesn't she want people gossiping about? Just that she wasn't able to maintain her hold on John? And I wonder, did Scorpius want to be buried? It seems odd that he would expect an unknown girl about to get executed alongside him to be able to accomplish that feat of persuasion? Or did he say that to her to prompt her to speak to ensure he wasn't left in the sun. His half Scarran half Sebacean physiology is weird, and maybe the heat of the sun would have hindered his ability to recover. Plus, vampires and graves....
