My understanding of animation in general is it isn't one effort per frame. The more kickass the animation the more time it takes, so you can't cut dialogue and insert climactic action. That could take 6 months or whatever. Anyways I was gutted at the end too.

His secret identity and the people he loses when gaining his power the levels he has to go through to not kill because he’s so powerful but taking on the responsibility of his great power. He is definitely known as the most cursed of all superheroes

I think this movie is incredible on a single watch, but to be able to appreciate all of the finer details, it deserves a rewatch. And knowing what to expect gives me a chance to focus on the amazing amount of work it must’ve taken to create this level of art. 2025-11-04 19:59:45 +0000 UTCfun fact! childish gambino/donald glover is the prowler in spiderman (tom holland universe). additionally, the miles morales character and design are based on childish gambino! a marvel writer saw glover wearing a spider-man costume in the show community and was inspired to create a black spider-man, leading to the introduction of Miles Morales!

I wish you guys talked more about the themes of this movie at the end of the video though because I’d love to hear more of your thoughts on that

Across the Spiderverse is actually about Gwen, its about her story with her family and finding her own "band". The movie DID conclude, the third act was when Gwen reconciled with her father, changed the canon by getting him to quit, and then going to rescue miles.

It feels like a visual feast and every single time I rewatch I notice new interesting things. I feel like the attention to detail carried through in absolutely every aspect of this movie from the music to the jokes to the writing . One thing I noticed this time is the reference that kept coming up that Miles ‘can’t have his cake and eat it two, unless there are two cakes.’ Meaning he can’t save his dad and his universe but now there are 2 Miles’! so maybe he’ll be able to do both of he can get Prowler miles to help! Also there’s no way they would’ve been able to wrap this movie up in less than another hour. There are like 7 open plot lines that need to be explored now. It’s definitely going to need the third movie to finish everything up. I’m just hoping the movie hits the ground running from scene one and doesn’t stop. That’ll make all the years of waiting worth it!

2025-11-02 03:15:55 +0000 UTCYea, I agree with the comments from the lads tbh. Some scenes felt so hectic I couldnt focus on what was happening. The ending is cool but after 2+ hours you expect some kind of payoff which didnt happen. The art style is cool 80 percent of the time but sometimes I felt it was so abstract I couldnt focus on anything (kinda like I was watching a pirated version and the lighting and focus were off). Lastly, I got over seeing all the rando spidermen pretty quick, I just wanted to focus on the main characters and story development. They are my gripes anyway but an overall fun unique movie.

2025-11-01 18:18:30 +0000 UTCI almost stood up and cheered when the "To be continued" popped up at the end because there was no way they were going to be able to adequately wrap that up in time. There is so much story to resolve and this was Gwen's arc and it was perfect.
