2025-11-05 19:20:52 +0000 UTCYes, Jason Sudeikis DID actually hit his head during that scene! He actually split open his scalp and needed to glue it shut so they could continue filming. And yes, relegation is a bad thing. The way the leagues work is that the top league has the very best teams while the bottom leagues have the worst. The top leagues make top dollar while the bottom leagues don't. The bottom leagues are sort of like semi-pro baseball where the players pretty much only play for the love of the game since they get paid very little to play. In order to move up leagues you need to be like anywhere from 1st-3rd place by the end of the season (it could be more or less than 3 spots, it depends on the league). It works the same for relegation just it's the bottom spots. But, luckily each season you have a fresh slate and have an opportunity to work your way up to promotion. If you're ever interested in learning more about how European Football works then I highly suggest watching Welcome to Wrexham. Its a really great documentary about Wrexham AFC which was purchased by Ryan Reynolds and Rob MacElhenney, it was in one of the bottom leagues when they bought it and it's about their journey towards getting back into the top leagues. Luckily I watched it before Ted Lasso so it helped me with this show a ton lol

2025-11-05 05:09:51 +0000 UTCAt first I wanted double drops of Ted, but then it will be over too quickly. It’s such a good pallet cleanser with the darker tones of the other things on the channel. Plus this way you’ll hit the holiday episode during the holidays which is awesome.

Death of both my parents, cheated on and left by my girlfriend, custody battle for my kid...only to get laid off from my long term job in October of that year. I swear, it started to become comical how many bad things happened in that calendar year. In my depression, I finally got around to watching this show in December of that year. Heard about it for years but never knew anything about it other than it's Jason Sudekis coaching a soccer team. But, man, when I tell you that this show suprised me, hit me at the right time and helped to heal my sadness and sorrow....this show is cheesy at times but it will always have a special place in my heart for serving as the perfect medicine for me when I needed it. And had no idea the creator of Scrubs was involved in it either until later. That was a very influential show for me in my younger years as well.
