Ebiko x HTopia! v0.4.0 release notes

The day has finally arrived!🎉

It's time to help your favorite shrimpcat @EbikoVtuber find her cute companion Gwub and return home.

She’s counting on you in more ways than one💦🥵

This was quite a big update for HTopia in so many levels. Its first major collaboration with a VTuber, and several new features were added, such as daily Login Rewards, new Support combat abilities, new status effects from new items, and lots of adjustments and bug fixes.

Here's the list of all the changes that were done, it's a lot so buckle up!

GAMEPLAY

+Remaining Friendship points now carry over after leveling up Friendship Level.

+New Game player now starts with Bandaged Gloves as default weapon.

+Added 3 new facial expressions for Fumi.

+Characters should now take their clothes off when they agree engage in intimate sex actions with you.

+Added new health status: Dexterity Up

+Added new health status: Strenght Up

+Added new health status: Intelligence Up

+Added new health status: HP Up

+Added new health status: Attack Up

+Added new health status: Defense Up

+You can no longer remove the combat equipment (clothing) of a protagonist character in your combat party unless they have a friendship level of Soulmate.

+Added Hot Chocolate item.

+Added Carrot Cake item.

+Added Spider Leg item.

+Added Scorpion Tail item.

+Added new cooking recipe for Carrot Cake.

EBIKO

+Added sprites for Ebiko's Gwub companion.

+Added Ebiko's character and avatar configuration.

+Added 43 facial expressions for Ebiko.

+Added Ebiko's dialogues.

+Added Ebiko's intimate actions scenes.

+Added Ebiko's main story events/dialogues.

+Added 57 CGs for Ebiko's story events.

UI

+Added new Daily Login Rewards system.

+Added new icons for new health status effects.

+Added images for 15 new items.

COMBAT

+Increased the chance of encountering spiders and scorpions in the Forest.

+Combat UI now display a description when picking an Ability (if the Ability has a description).

+Added 2 new visual effects for combat abilities.

+Added new green Slime enemy.

+Spider enemies now drop Spider Legs.

+Scorpion enemies now drop Scorpion Tails.

+Equipment can now apply defense accuracy stats to a character.

+Added Support abilities in combat such as healing.

+Selecting a Support ability targets the ally party first.

+Max HP cap raised to 999999

+Raised attack accuracy for Combat Gloves and Bandaged Gloves weapons.

+Added new dialogue for Combat Support abilities.

AUDIO

+Added 1 new Ambient sound effect.

+Added 3 new SFX.

EVENTS

+World Random Events no longer trigger at night (temporarily until we get more events for night time).

+Minor editing improvements on intro dialogue.

WORLD

+Added new location: Player's Backyard Storage Shed.

+Updated BG for Player's Backyard location with Storage Shed in place.

+Updated College Pool location with original BG.

BUG FIXES

+Fixed annoying minor issue where you could target a dead enemy in Combat.

+Fixed a bug where items from chests that had unique properties weren't getting those unique properties. ie. an iron axe had no Durability.

+Backwards compatibility fix for issue with tools with no durability save files prior to v0.4.0.

+Fixed minor typo in Neruko's blacksmith story event.

+Fixed minor glitch on CGs for one of the milf type NPC's intimate sex scenes.

+Fixed a bug where player wasn't recovering Energy properly when sleeping and hitting a set alarm in the smartphone.

ENGINE (INTERNAL)

+Fixed long running issue that was preventing from using gradients on parts of the characters (ie. on Hair)

+Added configurable option to change vertical offset for character avatar configurations.

+Some occupations can now be skipped from the character random generator. This is to handle characters with unique occupations such as Ebiko.

MISC

+Added backwards compatibility for v0.4.0

+Updated credits.

+Added Maintenance page.

+Lots of backend updates to support login rewards system
