lmao idk why ppl are mad at u calling it a board game it is, yes its roleplay and u get involved but its still a game. sports games cant be moved just cos a player says so, d&d can be changed cos its just a board game so u werent wrong, its not insulting to call it what it is ppl are just easily offended for some reason abt d&d

Fred caused a car accident & killed another boy. Also This seasons horror is based off nightmare on elm street, Carrie and some other horror films. PS I wish people paid attention every reaction I’ve watched says “40K!!! How does Joyce have 40K?!?” Enzo straight up says you have the $$ in HOPPERS TRUST FUND FOR THE GIRL right!!!?!?

It's fine to not be your favorite character, but that reason is odd since the issue in episode 2 was ELEVEN not communicating with MIKE which led to the whole angela problem in the rink since Mike didn't know and thought she was just hanging with a friend at first.

A lot of the things he's done and said, many other characters have also done, but he just doesn't get other stories to balance it so it always looks worse when he makes mistakes. Like Will also freaked out when El hit Angela but people only point out Mike's reaction. Overall, Mike just doesn't get stories anymore and the writers clearly don't know what to do with him, but i don't think it should ruin people's perspective of him. To me, he's the one acting most like a 15 year old, and people also forget he has traumas that effect how he handles things. Instead of crying like El and Will or distancing like Max and Lucas, he clearly handles it more like projecting. Plus, El DID lie to him and he has a right to be upset but he isn't. He is just confused and he handled the conversation as best as a kid can, and even better than most adults. Mike clearly isn't good with words, so saying i love you isn't easy. He expresses love through protection and action (ie. how adament he was to find Will and standing by him all of season 2, his protectiveness of El in season 3). I don't often agree with Mike's responses to things but I can understand a lot of them and where he's coming from in his mind. They never make it clear if Will ever tried to call Mike or send him letters, but if he didn't, then I guess Mike's response makes sense "why am I the bad guy" in some way.

And maybe dustin can't either, but lucas is probably the richest of the 4 kids so he could. Stranger things is great but they lack any sense of friendship with the kids. They SAY they're friends, they talk about being friends, but the kids always split up and never act much like friends. Why doesn't el mention max? why doesn't dustin talk to will on the phone? why doesn't lucas or dustin ever ask about will? Lucas was so heartbroken over will in season 1, the same amount as mike imo, but has never had a scene with him alone or mention him. Dustin said he was new in town and was later in the friend group, so i guess that can make sense but lucas? sounds doubtful. Their friendship should have been explored but there's only one season left so I doubt anything will happen there.

I started when you were in the middle of season 2, got impatient and jumped ahead and watched the whole thing and then watched it 2 more times and am currently on my fourth round with your season 4 reactions. Have to thank you for introducing me to one of my new favorite series. Fun fact, I caved and bought tickets to our local FanX comicon literally just because Dusty is going to be there. Bought a meet and greet/photo package. That is how much I love this show.

2022-08-17 17:06:25 +0000 UTCThere's a couple of call backs to past episodes here. When Will makes the map of Hawkins in Season 2, they mention heart-shaped Lover's Lake. That's currently where Eddie is hiding. Victor Creel is institutionalized in Pennhurst. In Season 1, Lucas says that El probably escaped from Pennhurst. El hitting Angela was one of the worst things I've ever seen on this show. It was completely brutal. Almost all El has ever known is abuse and brutality. She didn't know how to handle her anger, so she made a bad decision. In the real world, there would almost certainly be legal consequences. In addition, pushing back physically against a bully can lead to worse retaliation. Angela had a million friends who could have absolutely pulverized El. As hard as it is, you have to walk away from a bully.

And also that time she used her powers but this time it was a lot more realistic like it happens in our life so this situation seemed more real to me? I don’t really know. 2022-08-17 16:39:58 +0000 UTCfor me personally, i don’t like mike anymore just because the duffer bros really screwed up his character.. in season 1/2, he was such a loyal friend. would literally jump off a cliff for dustin! went on a manhunt to find will and never lost hope! now he just seems completely one-dimensional and centered around having relationship issues with el.. like he’s been just written there to BE there. and then just adding on top his communication issues (which i would typically understand as a young kid) makes it seem like he doesn’t really have anything to offer but inconsequential drama.

2022-08-17 16:15:07 +0000 UTCI will just say: to understand the pull and emotional depth of D&D I recommend checking out The Legend of Vox Machina on Prime. The show is an animated version of the first story arc of a streamed D&D game that lasted for about 5 years (the last 3 of which were streamed for us to watch). I've never cried harder or laughed louder than I have when watching or playing D&D - and this show is a condensed version of that. And honestly, the most unrealistic thing about this show is the fact that they have a *regularly scheduled game* and this is the first conflict that has come up.

2022-08-17 16:15:00 +0000 UTCI agrée that it’s not okay for El to react violently, but it is understandable, seeing as she’s an EXTREMELY traumatized child with limited social skills and understanding, as she was raised in an experimentation lab. Plus, in the past she was able to use her powers to “get back” (like exploding the soda in the girls faces as the mall in s3). She really hasn’t learned how to deal with the situation that she’s been put in and is experiencing some awful harassment. It’s not okay that she hurt Angela, but we can see why it lead up to these actions. Even more so, no one has been able to help with the bullying, even the teacher getting on to Angela didn’t stop her from harassing El at the rink. El didn’t know what else to do to defend herself, and the only thing she really knows is violence (and she doesn’t have her powers now). AND Papa used to praise her for her violence (like when she killed the guards trying to put her in the locked room).

I'm not mad at El and I'm not sad for Angela at all but I still don't agree with violence like that. It just doesn't sit right with me. Also, I know that majority of people have been annoyed with Mike in the last few seasons but I never was. I still really like his character and I get his side of things too. I always see both sides of things. He's not perfect but I mean they're still kids. You can't expect them to react to everything rationally like adults or know how to perfectly communicate with each other. He has a lot of growing to do but so do most of them. But I do get why he sometimes frustrates people

I hope he smartens up and remembers how important his friendships are. I hope Lucas links back up with Dustin and Max soon! It's making me so nervous that he's acting on his own right now. I'm so scared for Max!! I can't wait to see the next few episodes :)

She is in a bad place but she needs to open up to people bottling it up isn't good for her but I love how this season went into that stuff.

2022-08-17 12:02:39 +0000 UTCSo, to make things easier for you because in the last two episodes especially ep 8 it gets a little confusing, Dr. Owens and the place he's taking her to has it's own little group of "military" people that have nothing to with the actual US military that are trying to find Eleven. I was also confused at first lol but yes they have their own group of military, police, whatever you wanna call them for their own protection because clearly as we see in this episode the actual military and US government don't like what they do and they wanna find Eleven. As far as I can tell/remember, usually the Dr. Owens people are dressed in like suits and generally nice actual clothes and I think we only ever see the real military in fatigues and swat-like gear and I think the guy that came for Owens in the beginning of ep 3 is always seen wearing his fancy uniform and nothing else. Hope that helps! Like I said it confused me too so I've been telling everyone who watches this season about that particular detail :)
