This is my third time watching this and I still cry so damn much!! Can’t believe we have to wait to 2024/25 for the next season 😩 I hate that they killed Eddie, he could’ve easily been my favorite character if they hadn’t 😢

I cried again, so many times! Eddie was one of my favorite characters, and it was so sad to watch him die.. Joseph Quinn played him beautifully..Also Jamie Campbell Bower as henry/one/vecna was incredible (it's his voice too!, there's footage) The emotional scenes from Lucas, Dustin and Will are so good, so powerful. Sadie sink just shines this season. Nancy shooting at vecna was one of my favorites scenes, so badass. Can't wait for season 5!! The Duffer Brothers are geniuses! I think you would enjoy the videos and interviews for this season (and others), there was a Netflix special, it's really good! Also the interviews with Joseph Quinn and Jamie Campbell Bower are GOLD! They're such a cute funny duo! Loved rewatching with you, thank u!

Anne with an E...TEARS...beautiful tears because that story is so wonderful. Also, Umbrella Academy if you want a cast/family just as intricate as this one and wonderful, but completely dysfunctional. They're also both not too long. AWAE only got 3 seasons, and fans petitioned so much for more, but...Netflix. Umbrella Academy's 4th and final season comes out next year so you watching that now would probably end up with you being able to watch the last season close to when it comes out.

With spiders spilling out. Just like once the town breaks. 7. The drawings that H dry makes of the Mindflayer as a child almost identical to Will’s drawing. So many parallels between them. 8. I think Max’s coma and Will’s connection are going to be huge next season.

It’s heartbreaking. 2. Will has to be a huge part of next season. He is connected to Vecna. I think there is another connection. If you watch the first episode season 1, listen to Joyce and Hopper’s conversations about Will. Then compare that to watch Victor Creel says about Henry. 3. Mike is like Harry in the book, Order of the Phoenix. Barely able to stand him but it’s part of his growth, like Harry. Teenage oblivion and angst. 4. Max And the Stephen King novel The Talisman that Lucas is reading to her. Look it up. The Duffer Brothers know what they are doing. No reference is just a reference. 5. Henry’s name at the lab is Peter. Also Dr. Owens’s wife asks why they are taking Peter’s drawings. How are they connected?

2022-09-19 16:44:42 +0000 UTCIt’s really just a show about a family throughout their life and all of their struggles and triumphs - it’s super hard to explain it in a way that gives justice to the show and doesn’t spoil it, the show is so incredible and the characters are amazingly well written and have so much depth and development. The creator set out to make 6 seasons and had pretty much the whole main storyline mapped out from the beginning, so he knew exactly how he wanted it to end. So the whole thing feels really cohesive and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome (although I could have watched many seasons more haha)

Speaking of sci-fi shows that are super character-driven, I know I mentioned it in a comment before I watched this video, but I really think you'd like Sense8. It's on Netflix, and it was first released in 2015. It is super underrated and was way ahead of its time; had it been released over the pandemic, I think it would have amassed huge attention. The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous, the soundtrack is killer, the characters are so heartfelt, and it's one of the most emotionally engaging TV shows I've ever watched. I'd love to see it on a poll in the future, since you select things pretty democratically lol <3

Eddie's death scene makes me sob every time and knowing that Joe Quinn improvised the "I love you man" just makes it even more sad, same with Lucas holding Max and shouting "Erica help" which wasn't scripted. This episode as a whole is so sad but it makes me so excited for season 5. I don't know if they're gonna make up some other reason for how El brought Max back, but I assumed that since she can move things with her mind that she was manually pumping her heart from the inside until it started beating on its own again. And because she was clinically dead for over a minute like Lucas said my theory is that El couldn't contact her when she went into Max's mind is because she's brain dead which I don't want to happen because then she'd be gone but that's my only theory. Also the creators said that season 5 will have a big time jump because the younger actors look too old to play 14 year olds now and all I can think about is if we're going to get to see conflict between Nancy and Jonathan about the whole college lie even though we're getting a time jump because I need to see how that goes!!!

In regards to the next tv show you watch, in a post agessss ago you said you were starting Avatar: the last airbender however I don't think you have done it yet (unless i'm dumb and can't find it) but you 100% should. It's a lot lighter than ST but still a classic

It's a small thing, but I was so pleased to see that the album Synchronicity by the Police is spinning on the turntables while "Every Breath You Take" is playing. You talked about what characters might be influential to Vecna. I watched a really good YT video that showed that Vecna has a lot of the same mannerisms as Pinhead from Hellraiser. In the Halloween episode from season 2, Max dressed as Michael Meyers from the Halloween movies. This season, Eddie wore the Michael Meyers mask. At the end of the first Halloween movie, Michael Meyers is shot and falls off a balcony, but then he disappears. Just like Vecna at the end of this episode! Of course, Freddie Krueger is a big influence as well because both villains attack you in your hallucinations/dreams. Alien is also a big influence. Both Paul Reiser and Winona Ryder were in the Alien movies. The scene in the penultimate episode that shows Hopper, Joyce, and Murray walking through demogorgans in tanks looks straight out of Alien 4. As far as suggestions, please consider YELLOWJACKETS. Michael, it is so good. It reminded me so much of Stranger Things. It is incredibly detailed and textured. It stars Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, and Melanie Lynskey. They are working on Season 2 right now, and they have added Elijah Wood to the cast. As soon as I watched it, I knew I had to see it again. Even if you don't watch it on this channel, I simply cannot recommend it enough. Another suggestion is SEVERANCE from Apple TV. Wow. The plot is so beautifully complicated, and the concept is totally unique. I know you loved Hannibal, so please may I suggest a couple other Bryan Fuller shows? He has done a couple of comedies that I love PUSHING DAISIES and WONDERFALLS. They are both really high concept and heartwarming. If you want to dive into something more like Hannibal, he also worked on AMERICAN GODS, which is based on a Neil Gaiman book. Speaking of Neil, I loved the GOOD OMENS series on Netflix. He also recently released his SANDMAN series on Netflix. One last suggestion. My husband and I are rewatching Twin Peaks. You asked in your last review if any teen girl has been tortured on TV like Eleven. My immediate thoughts were Rue from Euphoria and Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks is a who-done-it. From 1990-1991, it seemed like the whole country was asking "Who killed Laura Palmer?" Rewatching, I have to say that it holds up, but is also very much of its time. Season 1 is top-notch television, while Season 2 is hit-or-miss. Season 3, which came out in 2017, literally haunted my dreams. Dear God, Season 3 was unbelievable. I do think that a new fan should watch Season 1 and half of Season 2 before moving on to Season 3. There is also a movie, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. The movie actually shows the murder, so it is not a good place to start if you are interested in the mystery. As always, thank you for your excellent reviews!

2022-09-18 01:41:31 +0000 UTCyes everyone killed it this season and especially during the finale! so many good performances this season! millie and noah continuing to kill it and then performances from gaten, caleb, sadie and joseph have just been amazing. gaten has always felt like a star to me and it's been so amazing to get to see him grow. if you do continue to google him more i do hope you sit down and watch some of his interviews if that's your kind of thing. he's probably the most like his character he's super funny and nerdy and there's some great stuff of him out there. caleb has grown so much and i feel like he isn't appreciated as much but my god when he cries you can feel it he makes you feel everything his character is feeling and it's heart wrenching. and there isn't enough to say about sadie. her acting has been off the charts and truly carried so much of this season. it feels like with her busting her ass off this season, the all too well video, and her upcoming movie with brendan frasier that it's going to be her year and im so so excited for her. joseph really got us to connect to eddie as a character so fast and when this episode came out it felt like everyone around the world was crying over his death. i'm still upset about it. although while it hurt it felt i feel like it made the most sense. he faced his fears and honestly if he lived he would have had to face the whole town which almost seems worse. there are some really plausible theories on how eddie could be brought back next season though and i really hope maybe there's some truth to at least one of them because i really don't want to see his character gone forever. and i cant believe next season is going to be the very last. idk how this show is gonna wrap it up. i really hope the duffer bros stick the landing and we get treated to some of the best television out there. been watching this show since day one and im really not ready to see it go. anyways as always it's been fun rewatching this season with you and seeing your reactions i can't wait to see what's next!

The scene with him crying over Max's body legit made me cry so hard, it was ridiculous. Knowing that he improvised the "Erica, help" in between sobs makes it hit so much harder lol

Lucas wasn't wearing shoes (and max wasn't either in the beginning) because they weren't supposed to make any noise in the house! which is also why they weren't speaking at loud before baiting vecna/writing on the note pads, etc.
