2023-11-16 03:32:58 +0000 UTCHey Mike, about what you said about sub vs dub at the end; I tried watching the dub the first time I ever watched AoT, and I really hated it and ended up watching the sub instead. However, I am finding it way better watching it with you this time around!! I'd say it really doesn't make the experience worse as far as I can tell, and it actually has some much better V/O performances than I remembered so I wouldn't worry about it too much :) I'd still recommend watching the sub in your own time but I think reacting to the dub is perfectly fine ๐

2023-09-09 07:33:54 +0000 UTCI mostly watch in sub but I think it's way better to watch in dub for reactions, especially for AOT because there's so much information. the only reason I was able to keep up with the sub for this show is because I'm able to pause and rewind if I miss stuff lmaooo. Also, I definitely recommend watching the intro and outros The AOT openings are so fun and iconic! ik some people say they have spoilers but honestly the only way they can be considered spoilery is if you pause and analyze every frame and even then it would be hard.

I totally get you with possibly missing some things if you watched it subbed for the first time, because now during this rewatch there are things I realize I actually missed on my first watch because of that (caught up on them later on the show though). At this pace you'll catch up with the rest of us ready for the finale!! We're so close now.

2023-09-03 16:57:41 +0000 UTCMy favorite part about the dub is the VA's for mikasa and ymir, they do such a great job especially in these episodes that i prefer the dub to the sub which is rare. Bertholdt's VA did well too. I will say when you rewatch in sub it's always hard getting use to the voices going from dub to sub or vise versa, but i've watched in both and other than a few minor problems with the dub, AOT is one anime where I feel like both are great and I wish I could watch your rereaction where the mysteries click. Also maybe I'm just a sofite but all three episodes made me cry while rewatching with you lol, from Ymir's backstory to Bertholdt's rant to Hannes dying, honestly season 2 is one to be cherished. And season 3 is my favorite season I can't wait to see your reactions

2023-09-02 22:03:19 +0000 UTCok i think i was temporarily out of my AOT phase when this season was released bc i was pretty distracted and bored during my first watch but WOW wow i was so invested and cried so much rewatching these eps. it's so fun watching with you, it's making me appreciate everything in this season (and its contribution to the grander scheme hehe) so much more also you've got this constant ringing going on in your recent uploads, and i just wanna say it made it SO effective during the silence after hannes' death. it felt even more like the world stopped lol connie keeps it real cause literally how is everyone else just having the deepest, heartfelt moments amidst the action. like i'm out of there the second eren is saved fr and YES armin's little moment was crazy. that was probably what made him my favorite character. like.. the absolute Manipulation! so much hidden complexity with that considering how earnest he always is
