I love this movie so much. There's so much social commentary that's so subtle like the Hamilton reference and how he looks to the white guy to recognize it and not the black man and how he bragged about seeing it in pre-Broadway which is so elitist and expensive. Or how none of them really know where Marta is from. She's most likely from Mexico they all claim to be family with her but none of them know where she's from or care really and ultimately Marta wins by being a genuine good person also, I highly recommend Glass Onion. It's fantastic. Completely different cast but still the quality is just as high

Also agreed that with these, immense rewatch value for noticing all the small things, both with this one and Glass Onion, and so many non-plotline/meta easter eggs (author names, story names, characters, guest appearances, etc...)

2023-09-11 04:22:57 +0000 UTCI remembered who it was but didn't remember what had been done so this was still intriguing in a second watch XD Also, the detective's accent sounded so much like Michael Scott's version of Agent Michael Scarn that made it even funnier. I've never actually seen the second movie so if that's in the plans for the channel I'll wait to watch along.

Itβs crazy how much you realise on rewatch, so many passing comments you forget tie into the ending, itβs very cleverly done!!! Itβs also interesting how many small details help you realise how horrible the whole family is, right down to all of them saying Marta is from a different place. I went into it very hesitant after the first movie but I loved the second one too, probably prefer the first just because itβs so classic whodunnit with the old house etc. Glass onion has great cast of characters/actors in it as well. Would recommend!!

2023-09-11 00:16:04 +0000 UTCI definitely say watch Glass Onion. Just like this movie, it has an amazing cast and story. But Knives Out is such a fun take on the murder mystery genre. Itβs one of my favorite movies and itβs immensely rewatchable. There are so many little moments that you donβt catch the first time through, or even the second. I actually did get to see this in theaters right before everything shut down in 2020 and Iβm so glad. It was a great experience seeing it on the big screen.

The only cast member back from the first is Daniel Craig and the new cast is amazing and speaking of Hamilton you are gonna get surprised by someone from that cast in this second movie and it's so good. Rian has been nominated for oscars for best script for both movies and he should have def won both, specially glass Onion...
