The books were even better (you can tell it's not written by a literature professor or anything) but the plot is spectacular, back then the only thing I had a problem with was the sparkling part (that might be different as an adult) !! 2023-11-20 18:55:24 +0000 UTCI'm not a huge fan of the first two movies - the first one to me is just too cringe, but hey, it's a classic and still watchable/enjoyable; and the second one because I always easily forget what it was about - but I love the last three. The CGI and production gets progressively better I think (except for one little thing, I'm sure everyone who's seen it knows what what or who I'm talking about lol) and it gets more mature. Jacob has a huuuuuge role in pretty much all the other movies, it's actually funny how little he was in the first one. I would definitely sit down and watch the rest with you asap, the weather is perfect for some gloomy deep emo teen-ish vampire romance and it's been a while since I saw this with someone other than my mom haha

The movies where a bit dissapointing, and like you 've said the effects are so funny and the acting imo Is not my favorite. The glitter scene was so silly cause in the books she said he looks like a greek god or something so beautiful and you see the movie and are like... Really? Also now i cringe at the toxicity, intensity and find myslef questioning lots of things that as a teen I just liked. But as a movie to laugh, not take seriously and have a good time, I do like that. So I support the comments that say you should watch them all if you want. Would be fun! :) Sorry for the rant..

It's kinda wild how the twilight series was marketed to teens trying to figure themselves out and hollywood answered with a toxic relationship movie. At this point, millennials Iike me (can't speak for everyone) can only laugh at how intense these movies are on "what love is." Third, you have a great and unique perspective on this whole deal, I'm happy to see someone just judge the story versus the special effects (which we all know suck anyway lol). Appreciate you for even attempting this movie :)

There's a lot of people who say the acting is horrible in these movies, which I disagree with there acting exactly like awkward teenagers, they knew exactly what they were doing. It definitely has its flaws but it's enjoyable to me.

We were all obsessed with the books as kids but find it much harder to take seriously as adults 😅 But the movies are just so camp and corny that it's fun every time. Would highly recommend finishing them off, it just gets more ridiculous from here on out

I had a blast rewatching this with you, it brought me back to ninth grade and having a crush on Robert Pattinson 😂 Also I can sprinkle in some rare Taylor Swift lore for you... if you rewatch the Mine music video she filmed some scenes in the Twilight diner where Bella and her dad eat at.

I just had the best time seeing your reaction cause yeah, there's some cringe moments in them that makes us laugh a lot, but I have a very soft spot for Twilight cause it's been a huge part of my childhood and my teens alongside with The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Divergent and Percy Jackson (only the books). Like you said, it's not peak cinema, but it's very entertaining and the movies do get better. The last two, Breaking Dawn part 1 and part 2 are my favorites. Taylor Lautner will play a bigger role in the following movies. They are 100% campy and corny and cheesy and that is what I love about them. The acting will get better. The effects will get better. Kristen and Robert actually dated in real life for the majority of filming this franchise which is why you see the change in their chemistry and it comes through so we'll Please, please watch all of the movies. I did not expect to be spending the night watching Twilight and feeling nostalgic about the book series 😂 I was already in my 30s when the series came out, and just like the movies aren't peak cinema, the series wasn't peak literature to me, but I got completely sucked into the love story (my Captain Levi-Mr. Darcy-Yoongi loving heart was obviously going to be Team Edward). I remember reading all of Eclipse in bed one day when I was on a holiday break from work/school. I think I only watched the first two movies, so I would love to watch the whole series with you! This film feels disjointed to me, because I'm sure quite a bit of the slow burn and character development had to be cut out for time. I didn't even vote for this in the poll, but I'm actually glad others did because this was fun 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you, Michael!

All the questions you have from this one unfold in each movie. A lot more Taylor from here.... Soooooooooo many things. I also have to say .. The books are even better❣️ For me it's like how much better the Harry Potter Books were. The movies were Amazing, but the books just let you totally picture everything in your head with the vivid writing❣️ To me that's what this is like. I think the target group for this move was female, teen to young adult. But that's just my opinion. I know many guys that have watched these moves and loved them just the same. Most of Twilight was filmed in Oregon. The author of the books, Stephanie Meyer, made a cameo in the diner Bella and Charlie were eating at. Jamie Campbell Bower, the actor who plays Henry/One in Stranger Things, plays a character in the next movie.
