Yes, Nicki is considered one of the greatest, but she mainly got that title due to her verses when she featured on other artists songs (she has amaaazzzinngg features) or some of her iconic singles that are straight rap. But if you’re listening to a Nicki album, you should know that you’re gonna get a mix of hiphop AND pop. Nicki’s a very versatile artist so her projects usually don’t consist of straight rap. Think of it as like a Planet Her album from Doja Cat.You’re gonna get rapping Nicki, soft singing Nicki, and Pop girl Nicki

She pushed her pen on quite a few tracks (which she always does), but overall this is my least favorite album of hers. The OG Pink Friday and The Pinkprint albums are where it’s at. You’ll like both of those much more. Her singing is MUCH more polished on the other albums as well.

She was telling more of her personal story back then and they were more cohesive. This album is more for her fans; people who already know about her life and her story. There are things in the album that you may not understand cause you don’t know the personal aspects of her life.
