I’m a little late to the conversation, but I was team Jacob. In my defense I was 12-15 when these movies came out. I young and naive, and I was blinded by the abs. Also, I read the books after I saw the first movie, and Eddie boy and Bella were the most annoying characters I had encountered so far. Now that I’m grown and have reread the first book like thrice, Bella’s still annoying, but Eddie boy has grown on me after I read his book, he’s unintentionally a comedian.

Team Jacob <3 the only time she was actually her self and at her happiest was with Jacob and she didnt have to change for him and wasnt unhealthily obsessed. And the main reason Edward liked bella was because he thought that she was quirky and not like other girls because he couldnt read her mind. When in fact she was exactly like other girls, but eh. Idk Jacob x Me. Bella can stay in unhealthy toxic delusional land idk she got it. She wanted to die so bad anyways, go her.

I do remember though that I was leaning towards jacob just bc he was a bit moreno AHAHA (I was actually team seth just bc he was my childhood crush who was also in Julie and the Phantoms and the Descendants movies)

I cannot express how much I had no critical thinking skills about these books or films like knowing how deeply they are based in Mormon belief and the way this Native Tribe was portrayed by a white woman, with very little consideration to the real tribes they are based on. I get so angry like…. Oh so the wolves are darker skin, hot headed people with little control on themselves who are naked all the time being constantly compared with these beautiful, pale skinned creatures…. Cool! That tracks! Abstaining from sex until marriage.. okay! The fact Carlisle is literally based on Joseph Smith and believes vampires are soulless monsters but goes around finding people about to die and turning them so he can collect them like Pokémon cards? Okay sick! Jasper being a confederate soldier…. Okay! Like, I have to turn my brain off and just vibe. With the authors beliefs and obvious religious influences, I would say that men treating women in a predatory fashion like it being okay to stalk them and watch them sleep or kiss them without their consent was pretty much not a big deal to her. I still have love for them because they meant so much to me at a point but my god! I’m team no one !!! As an adult too, I cannot imagine ever wanting to be a vampire now like life is so garbage, I can’t imagine extending my timeline to ETERNITY lol but I was obsessssssed at this age. Nothing seemed cooler than becoming a vamp 🤪 Also, vampire racism?? They are natural born killers, it’s not like their default mode isn’t eating humans Bev !!! They are like the 1% of peaceful vamps!!

I think I was always switching between team Jacob and team Edward, cause hotter vs what's right haha... but as an adult I cringed hard while watching Jacob's behaviour and capability of handling the entire situation. Anyway, I am loving these reactions and let's keep the frustration going with the next two! XD

Especially Rosalie's story. Now that's a book I want to read. Also, totally agree about Jacob. I never understood how anyone could be on his side after this movie.

Gosh I hate Jacob so much on this movie 😂 the kissing scene is even worse on the book cause we get Bella's narration and she pulls his hair to end it, but he takes it as a incentive and forces it even more, reading that was just torture. Jacob's behavior truly disgusts me, he's manipulative and knows exactly what he's doing, he's the type of guy who just can't take a no and leave us be (when he first kissed her and got punched, for example), I could go on and on, but to sum up he behaves like a shitty guy. And even tho we can get mad at Bella at some moments (lots of moments), it was always clear that Edward was her only choice, we can realize it seeing the movies and even more reading the books, the feelings she have for him are so intense and vice versa, we just need to pay a little attention to see that Jacob was never an option, as she said in New Moon "don't make me choose, cause it's gonna be him, it's always been him". Now answering some of your questions: 1 - Jacob didn't have an imprinting with Bella, usually it happens when a werewolf sees someone for the first time, or see them again after some time. The books explains it well, even tho is in it's majority a romantic relationship, the werewolf will be anything his person needs, a friend, brother, lover... Her happiness is everything that matters to them and they'll do anything for it, this person becomes like the center of the universe for them, it's a soulmate thing. So it didn't happened with Jacob, that's why he says that Bella would be the first to know if it ever did. 2 - Vampires can't have kids, which is Rosalie's dream. They're frozen in time, so there's no way a vampire could get pregnant. That's why Rosalie dislikes Bella, cause she's throwing away the life full of possibilities that Rosalie wants. And now I'm waiting for my favorite movies of the saga, Breaking Dawn part 1 and 2. Sooo excited!

I didn't like Edward bc he's shown creepy tendencies in the past (watching her sleep for weeks before she even know about it???) and then aside from that he's just boring - being a vampire is his personality, Jacob is, as you say, whiny and quite literally assaulted Bella. And then Bella enables Jacob consistently and is so unbelievably stubborn its crazy. That said, I owned every single book and watched every single movie more than once. This series will forever be iconic to me!

I haven’t read the books in forever so correct me if im wrong anyone, but its more of like a wolf magic thing like when they meet eyes with the person they’re destined to be with the imprinting happens and theyre like soul connected for life basically. There is no way to force it at all tho so Jacob did not imprint on Bella and if he ever did it wouldve been the first time they met/made eye contact.

I always used to say "I'm team Edward, but also Team Taylor Lautner" because he was hot and I was at that age. Also I loved his personality when I saw interviews and behind the scenes etc. (I do love Robert Pattinson though, I just preferred Lautner's personality then) I'll forever be bitter about the fact we didn't get Alice's backstory on screen. I feel it's the most interesting one, although it is effed up and she also can't remember her human life so I guess that's why there was no point in showing it. Well maybe also because it didn't contribute to the plot here. Ok the Volturi have 3 leaders: - Aro (main leader, the one who can read every thought you've ever had by touching you, also has the longest hair length) - Marcus (long hair but shorter than Aro's, he's just bored with existence in general) - Caius (shoulder length hair, the most vicious one)

He is literally a dog with a bone about Bella and he definitely acts like a child and throws fits when things don't go his way. She's twice as annoying in enabling him to get away with it. Also, the guy you thought was Sam is Billy Black, Jacob's father. Sam is definitely just as impulsive and angry as Jacob all the time. He is not a clearheaded leader. Oh, and Jacob wasn't lying. He is descendant of the Black clan which were the Alphas and he could have been chief. You also missed the part where Edward added a diamond heart charm onto Bella's charm bracelet so it doesn't just have the wolf charm. Vampire women cannot have babies. That is why Rosalie hates that Bella is making this choice. She feels like Bella is walking away from the one thing Rosalie wanted more than anything. I highly recommend reading the books after you watch the series. I actually did that with Harry Potter and it made so much difference in my feelings for the movies. I got to enjoy the movies for what they were and not for what they were lacking. Reading the books then just gave so much depth to it all. There is a lot of context you miss with only watching the movies, but it does tend to make for a better watching experience. Cannot wait until Breaking Dawn 1&2. Hoping you watch the 1st and can't leave it there and watch the 2nd immediately so I don't have to wait 😂
