The last line of the last song just breaks my heart every time.. "If I tried to write them down... I'd run out of ink." Like omg. I wanna believe in romance!! I also feel like it's hinting at Nick's fountain pen in season 1. It's been an absolute blast to watch your reaction to my favourite scenes!! 2024-10-15 23:50:48 +0000 UTCYes, “Jack Maddox” was played by Jonathan Bailey, who also plays Anthony Bridgerton. 😊 Jonathan is gay in real life and a huge fan of the show. He asked the producer if there was anything he could do to help the story, and they ended up writing the cameo for him! I love that the show is maturing with the characters each season. Alice is an amazing writer. This is also easily my favorite season. Btw, I feel the same as you about Charlie’s mom. She just needs to work on her avoidant tendencies so that she and Charlie can communicate more effectively and be on the same page.

There was only happy crying even though I knew what was going to happen because I’ve read the comic 😩. But yeah as others have said the episodes are written by the same person who writes the comic Alice Oseman, They are currently posting the next comic on Tumblr 3 days a month. It’s supposed to be the last one (🤧😭) but I trust them with all my heart to finish it fantastically. I really hope Nick gets what he needs 🫶

As an older sister, it feels so authentic. And the way she talks about how grateful she is for Nick as well... I am so so happy with how it has translated to the screen this season

I’m so proud of all of them, the growth compared to season 1 (and even the start of this season) is unbelievable. I hope alice oseman can convince Netflix to renew for season 4, she’s publishing and working on the part of the webcomic that would cover that time period right now.

2024-10-13 08:07:04 +0000 UTCso, regarding their ages and the school system. tao, isaac and charlie (and i'm also assuming sahar, the girl with the band) are all in the same year and are around 15-16 years old this season, and nick, darcy and the other girls, including tori, are a year above them. nick and charlie are not in the same year, they're just in the same form group, which is kinda like a roll call at the start/end of the day (10-30 minutes) to check attendance and also to make announcements. some schools make form groups mixed years, like in heartstopper, to make it easier for younger students to make friends at the school. now regarding years and exams and stuff. secondary school in the uk is year 7 - year 11 (11yo-16yo) and then 2 years of basically uni prep wtih free choice of subjects called sixth form (lower sixth form/ year 12 and upper sixth form/year 13). at the end of year 11 (charlie's year this season) they take exams called GCSE. after that, based on their exam results, they can either continue their education at the same school, if it has sixth form (like nick, darcy, tara and imogen), move to a different school or apply to sixth form college like elle. then after sixth form they can apply to uni. tho some universities can start accepting applications as early as september of year 13, the actual decision will be made at the end of the year based on the results of their A-levels, which are the exams taken at the end of year 13, + in some cases also GSCE results. so nick, darcy and the girls should still have a year of school left and charlie, isaac and tao (and sahar?) have 2.

There is so much that happened in this season even though on my first watch it literally felt like it flew by! Heartstopper definitely won’t be one of those shows that go on forever, if we do get season 4 than it will be the last one based on the last graphic novel that is in the works as of right now. I really hope that it will happen, I love this show and I love this cast!! It’s so fun to go through their social media accounts and see how much they hang out in real life too! Thanks for the reaction, it was really fun to rewatch this with you!!

Alice is drawing the last volume of the graphic novel now, which is what a fourth season would be based on, along with the novella written about Nick and Charlie. This show definitely will not be one that goes on a bit too long. 🌟

It’s William Gao (actor who plays Tao) and his sister Olivia. I really think you’d enjoy their music!!!
