Just to explain the song Forty One Winks a little bit more, it also has a bit more of a dreamy fall asleep together "you are my sanctuary/safe place" kind of feel since "forty winks" is an old expression that means take a short nap. So forty one winks kind of implies its still a nap but maybe a bit longer? Maybe we are staying in that sweet nappy dreamlike sleep for a bit longer together? Y'know? Their other songs and lore also incorporate a lot of the same language and concepts like promises, dreams, Morse code, and our own language between us etc. It's my favorite song on the album and I know you love R&B so I'm glad you liked it too. For a second I was worried about how you would react haha

I would love to see you do more TXT album reactions. There first handful of albums are some of my favorites like The Dream Chapter: Star and Magic (That is two different albums, bonus Nap of the Star's music videos is one of my favorites) and The Chaos Chapter: Eternity and Freeze (again two different albums). I follow them more casually so I don't fully know their album order but I know there are multiple 'chapter' albums then multiple 'minisode' albums.

Even though all the groups still have their individual sounds that are unique to them there is definitely a 'Japanese album vibe' that kind of ties them together if that makes sense because those groups typically work with Japanese producers and things that they don't normally do to have more of a 'Japanese' sound to it. From the few BTS Japanese songs I've seen you react to and this album makes me think you would really like different groups Japanese discographies. After listening to more groups and their typical stuff vs Japanese you can start hearing that difference though its hard to describe ... if any of that made sense lol

TXT is amazing - and I say that because this particular album was actually kind of underwhelming to me - and you can see how good it is! So I fully recommend their back catalogue if you want to check them out further.

2024-11-16 02:16:29 +0000 UTCTXT has one of my favorite debut songs of any group I've heard. Their back catalog is littered with surprises and gems. Vocals never fail. One of their main producers is Slow Rabbit who worked with BTS until TXT debuted (and also sometimes after and with solo member songs). I know the TXT members are also increasingly playing a part in writing lyrics, too. They were at Lollapalooza in 2022 (there's a documentary on Disney+ about touring while also preparing for that performance). Then they headlined Lollapalooza with an hour and a half-long set in 2023 that is so, so good. I will happily be around for more TXT (and Stray Kids! I just zoomed ahead to this reaction first because I've been listening to this album on repeat since it came out. I'm several comebacks behind with SKZ 😭)

And that kind of consistency speaks to the talent. I really want you to listen to this song, Growing Pains that song, go blow your mind

2024-11-15 23:13:41 +0000 UTCyou’re so right, txt are incredible singers. theyve been around since 2019 so about 5-6 years and they have 11 albums/eps. if you do decide to go through their discography, its insane listening to how their vocals improve every era, especially in live performances (though they were already amazing at the start!) i will say if you do decide to check out their entire discography, i recommend you start from the beginning as their albums are separated into chapters and each chapter tells a story that fits into their coming of age story that goes through every album. the minisodes act as breaks between chapters. if you are interested, use this website for accurate lyric translations as the older ones for txt albums are… extremely bad. https://beomiebear.wixsite.com/onedreamography yeah beomgyu unfortunately doesnt get as much lines which is devastating for us beomgyu biases (the song happily ever after existing is a crime, iykyk) so when he does get them he really shines and this album i was blown away by his vocals!! oh and i laughed when you talked about taehyun putting passion into it because yes. if taehyun could be summarised in one word it would be passion. thanks for checking it out!! Got announced yesterday 🙌🏼 - Night is the opening ost for Tower Of God Season 2 which is an anime as you saw! Falling Up is the ending credits ost for the show. They also did two ost’s for season 1 which are called TOP and Slump, which are mentioned in the Falling Up lyrics! - Why? was released in April and it’s the theme song for another Japanese drama called Revenge
