2024-11-26 00:59:14 +0000 UTCI grew in Jamaica where we had “helpers” who are basically Nannie’s and it never affected my relationship with my parents. Both of them worked far away and weren’t able to be there physically but made sure to show up as much as possible when they could so I never felt their lack in my life. I also grew up around my cousins and aunts who were parent figures when my parents weren’t around so that may have helped too.

I believe they show that eventually in the second episode that the player named is a different player. The money they have was from the shoe contract Nathan got prior to his accident. Or at least that was where the $ for the house came from. Also, I really fucking hate Mouth's storyline with the boss. It might be the cringiest relationship in the entire show if it wasn't for a 17-year old Peyton dating a 30-year old Pete Wentz back in Season 3. I don't love the performance from the actress playing Alice, and I get less than zero chemistry from the two of them. Without spoilers, one of my favorite things about the second half of the show is how much of it centers around music.

So much stuff is happening all at once. And 😂 to your reaction when you saw KFed in the credits. Oh, KFed. What a mess. Definitely is the perfect person to play that Jason character. I honestly think his manager or agent or whoever got him on OTH to make a name for himself and not known as "Britney's ex-husband who needs a job or sucks at rap" because this was around the time her conservatorship started and the media + fans were ripping him to shreds (rightfully so, might I add). But I don't know if this helped his case or made it worse. 😂 I did hear that the cast enjoyed having him on set and that he was so nice, but blah. He's KFed. And that's all he is. Of course, there is so much more behind him and drama, with Britney, and other things. But goodness get him off my screen. Honestly, I like Lindsay, but as a Leyton fan, I just don't want her with Lucas. 😂 They couldn't just keep her as his editor, but again this One Tree Hill and they love dramaaaaa. But yeah Lucas, come on. You tell Lindsay she has nothing to worry about and then you pull that at the store opening?? Ehh, the man doesn't change. But still love him at the same time. And yes, the reveal of Victoria being Brooke's mom. I've been waiting for you to find that out! I actually appreciate that we didn't know really anything about her parents until now because it sorta gives more of a punch for Brooke's character in the later seasons. Ahh the nanny, yep. Definitely going to make Haley feel some things. I felt it when Haley looked at that picture. But what's going to happen with that? We'll see. And ahh, Quentin. I love his character because he somewhat reminds us of who Nathan was back in season 1. It also gives us an idea of who Q could be if he actually listens. 🤷 What else? What else? OH the Dan Scott visit. I don't know if you missed it (I think a lot of people do), but Dan mentioned how long it's been since the last time he saw Nathan—4 years, 15 weeks, and 2 days. Also, I'm not sure if you remember, but Lucas and Nathan both agreed never to go see Dan. They made this pact during the season 4 finale. Okay. Wow. I didn't expect to write so much. But can't wait for the next upload. Always look forward to these!!!!!!!

I was always neutral about Leyton, so I didn’t mind her. She’s nice and mature. Also, I don’t know anything about Kevin Federline, but I remember Hilarie Burton said on the Drama Queens podcast that he was so nice when he was on the show.

Maybe it was intentional from the start to wait to this point and couldn't find a time to fit in her parents to the storyline when she was in highschool with so much else going on.

2024-11-23 06:52:35 +0000 UTCNow we’ve finally arrived at the reveal of Brooke’s mom. I’ve been waiting for this since you first started loving Brooke. Seeing her dynamic with Victoria you really understand on a whole new level why Brooke never felt good enough, smart enough, pretty enough. It really ties back well to the episode where they all paired off for that class to get to know their partner. And I don’t know if it was intentional from the writers but I think it’s very telling about the character that you only get to see Victoria now that Brooke is rich and famous and successful and has something tangible value to offer. Totally agree about Lucas. He wants it all. And I think he does believe he wants friendship with Peyton, but you can clearly see when he tells her the bartender isn’t good enough for her that some part of wants her to not be with anyone else and that’s so selfish, even if it is consciously unintentional. And yes Kate Voegele who plays Mia is a real singer. She released her first album a little before this season aired and the song she sang in episode 4 is her own. It’s called Kindly Unspoken.

Moving on, if you notice Victoria/Brooke dynamic is similar to Dan/Nathan and how she even refers to her mom by her first name like Nathan does a lot of the time. What you said about Lucas about wanting to have it all is actually a big part of why he's not a favorite among the fandom as a whole. Like the way he has treated Brooke and Peyton both at times just has been pretty crappy. Him making that comment saying how that guy isn't good enough for you is kinda coming off like he doesn't want peyton to date anyone else. Anyways love the reaction!!!
