While not a musical, the "TOTS" sign is a reference to the movie Norma Rae. Norma Rae, played by Sally Field, holds up a "UNION" sign on a factory floor. This was also referenced in the Office when Pam holds up the "HOT" sign.

2025-02-22 05:23:50 +0000 UTCI totally forgot about that “singin’ in the rain/umbrella” mash up, it is so good! Definitely would have loved to have the kids vocals on it too. Gwyneth Paltrow does actually speak Spanish fluently . I believe she studied and lived in Spain as a teenager. The “Marry You” performance is so cute, I loved that. Burt is everything to me, what an amazing father. So beautiful he and Carol found each other. And I love that gradually Kurt and Finn really do become like brothers.

2025-02-22 03:20:20 +0000 UTCI know Santana is a fan favorite and I adore her voice, but I grew up watching this show and her character reminded me of every mean girl I ever encountered in school, and no matter how many times I rewatch I just can't stand her character. She has her good moments but whenever she acts the way she does in episodes like the wedding one I am instantly triggered 😭 She is so nasty that I can't even enjoy how amazing Naya Rivera is at playing the role. Her comments about Rachel are just sooo mean. Rachel can be so frustrating and annoying at times but she just reminds me of the girls I knew who were always made fun of and looked down on by everyone (especially people like Santana) and became insecure because of it. She makes me so mad but I feel like she only relies so heavily on her talent and is so desperate to succeed because in every other area she is always made to feel like she isn't enough. Santana is just mean because she likes the power she gets from knowing she can make other people feel crappy. Sorry for the rant, lol!

I remember Ryan Murphy said back then that they never had to worry about getting people to come in for roles because rather than the show having to go ask them to do it a lot of huge celebrities called them and asked to be on the show. So some very amazing people from movies, tv, music, and Broadway show up all throughout the show.

Gene Kelly and Donald O’Connor and great physical comedy The Rachel/Gwyneth duet is from Chicago, which I highly recommend, I think you’ll love it! You reacted to Cell Block Tango a while back and if I remember correctly you enjoyed it! I give Will Schuster a lot of (well deserved) shit but he killed that performance of Sway at the wedding. Santana is wanting to stir up trouble with Finn and Rachel…Burt is one of my favorite tv show dads of all time! He is a constantly consistent character!

And we’ve finally introduced the characters for dalton warblers (before this point the warblers were only ever mentioned while talking about their competitions) but now they’re real! The main lead for the dalton warblers is one of my favorites in this show!
