also!! while listening to your review at the end, silco wasn’t lying to jinx about vi, silco DID think vi was dead , and DID believe that vi betrayed jinx. their relationship is a bit toxic, yes, but he doesn’t lie to her, everything he says to her, he GENUINELY believes. 🥹🫶

Man, Vi and Powder / Jinx just can't catch a break, can they? :( The main thing I'm worried about right now - rather than any potential relationship with Vi and the enforcer affecting Vi's relationship with Powder / Jinx - is how she gonna react to Vi being taken away? (btw, I'm calling her "the enforcer" because ain't no way I'm gonna even bother trying to remember everyone's names, I suck at it anyway and there's way too many named characters, lmao), but, like, think about it! Powder / Jinx has been struggling for a few years now with Vi "abandoning" her, so now that they finally met again and Vi was taken away moments later, would Powder / Jinx - with all her trauma and mental confusion - perceive that as Vi "abandoning" her AGAIN, even though that's definitely not what happened? Like, can she think clearly enough to understand that Vi didin't leave because of her own choice? THAT'S what I'm scared about. Man, what an emotional rollerocaster of an ending again - though in a very different way than the massacre of episode 3, lol. And moving away from Vi and Powder to the hex-tech stuff, an interesting thing I noticed was Victor stating that any plants inserted to the hex-tech heart / core or whatever "rejected the transmutation," that left me wondering: could it be because of Victor's diseased blood that got injected into the core? Like, if the prerequisite for activating the core is blood, what happens if the person who's blood is injected is deadly ill, like Victor? Does that make magic itself "sick," which is why the plants kept dying? Is this a world where humans can transmit diseases to magic? That would be both very grotesque and very scary if that was the case, so I'm nervous as to which direction hex-tech is going to go - especially with Jayce now expanding his power in the Council and getting the old guy (not remembering his name either, lmao) out of the way. Even if his intentions seem good, power can corrupt, and absolute power can corrupt absolutely, so its definitely not looking good for Topside - especially with's Silco's plans in motion as well, whatever they may be. Sorry for the long essay, btw, but DAMN, this show is interesting! So much to talk and theorize about! I'm very excited - and very scared - to see how season 1 wraps up. Can't wait for more!
