I love that the brother in you appreciated the Run Jin episode and the idea of doing all military stuff to poor Hobi the day after his release lol; also "eat him first!"

Gray

I just realized I never commented on these reactions despite watching them the day they came out, lol. I'm glad you enjoyed Last Name. I bawl my eyes out more often than not when I listen to it. Despite it being a hard listen, I appreciate you still giving a really thoughtful reaction, and I hope it did something for you and hopefully your healing journey <3 Im so happy you watched an Origin Story! i love spoken word so much and Phil and Sarah did an amazing job with it!!

Samantha

OMG Sarah and Phil?? I used to be obsessed with them and this video back in the day! For a little update, they're still good friends and indeed never dated lol Phil got married a few years ago and Sarah was there by his side! They still do poetry and sometimes do shows together!

Giu Bressani

I saw Hozier in September and it was indeed a religious experience… that mans voice is so strong it is actually mind-blowing. You are going to have an amazing time!!

His tiny desk really is so great, gives such a nice chill vibe while also showing all the incredible talent in the room. Fujii comes across as such a nice friendly cool guy as well, would love to see a reaction but it's just shy of 30mins

rose hannah

i may have missed if you noticed it or not but i just peeped that there’s a bts pillow in doechii’s video ! love her downnnn 💜

Amity

I found exactly this song by Fujii Kaze through a Yoongi edit 😂 It’s sooo good, but I had never seen the live performance, which is on another level! I highly recommend his tiny desk if you want to hear from him

Mariana

Jin saying at the beginning of Run Jin that he’s not usually doing the pranks was another joke of his because he’s constantly pranking everyone around him 🤣

Mariana

Heavy on Matsuri!!! But all of his music is phenomenal

Prem Parekh

the picture of the bts grammy perfomance was actually the lil nas grammy performance they joined in on the grammys 2020. yoongi's comeback was for the grammys 2021 where they performed dynamite. it was jin who had been injured during their butter grammy performance in 2022! he had injured his hand and had to have an operation.

fuji kaze is absolutely amazing!! if i were to recommend two songs from him, i would say matsuri and michi teyu!! but he has SO MANY gems

gabriela

I had no idea you were going to open it during the request, but I loved seeing your reaction to each thing and I'm really glad you liked them!! Your dog is adorable and I'm glad he liked the bone, sadly my dogs have not outgrown tearing their toys, I'm just glad they don't do it to furniture anymore. Omg, a video going through the stuff in your background would be fantastic, I always loved how it looked since the begging! I also spent quite some time stopping and zooming in to try and identify different things to have ideas for what to crochet for you, so that would be helpful for the future kqhdkwjdjs I'll be seeing Hozier at the end of may, I saw him at Lollapalooza last year, but this time it's a solo concert in a relatively small venue and I couldn't be more excited!! Anyway, it was a pleasure sending those gifts for you, thank you for everything you do :)

Haha, thanks for the shout-out for the competition. Sadly, I didn't make the next round, but it was fun while it lasted. NOW, back to Carrie. She had co-hosted the CMAs with Brad for—I believe—ten years in a row and then one year with Reba & Dolly. And this one in particular was in 2010 while she was in the middle of her Play On tour—a tour I went to, might I add—and when she performed this song on it, she actually did a short medley of other female artists' songs in the middle that related to this song. I can't remember what songs they were, but it was awesome. Also, speaking on her Rock sound. She has done a few performances with rock artists, and I may now have to add to my request list. 😂

CGoerlich

OMG Stray Kids!! Thank you to the person who requested it!! <3

Seraylin

thank you for all the michael x brandy lore LOL glad you enjoyed :)

Lailah

By the time Grammys happened Suga recovered. The one you’re thinking about is when they performed butter and Jin couldn’t do the choreography because he hurt his finger

I'm glad you liked watching Stewart Copeland on Drumeo. Other fun videos they have are Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers playing along with Dua Lipa, and Mike Portnoy making up a new drum part for "Shake It Off." Those high-pitched toms you like are called "octobans." There's another Drumeo video of Stewart playing along to "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," in which Stewart jokes about how much Sting didn't like the octobans. I have so many reasons why I love Stewart's drumming. He uses traditional grip, so he can easily flip his left stick to start hitting the rim of the snare. He's known for his high-hat work, and I love the way he can really make it sizzle. Lastly, I love that there are so many toms and cymbals, which gives his drumming a lot of pitch variation. If you ever watch Dune on the channel, I'll send you a request for "Synchronicity II" to give you a taste of Sting as Feyd, played by Austin Butler in the new movies.

I saw Taemin dance to Sayonara Hitori right before my eyes for the very first time in Chicago and was completely mesmerized it was so beautiful. This song makes me cry everytime. 🥺

Sandi

I came to say this his Tiny Desk is so good!!!!

Kiki Meowzilla

Fuji Kaze is AMAZING. He has quickly become one of my top 5 artists out of nowhere, and I’ve never really even listened to Japanese music. I’m so glad Rose requested him. Please check out more of his work- Matsuri, damn, Kirari, Feeling Good, Hana, and so much more!!!! He also has a great Tiny Desk.

I SKIPPED AHEAD TO TIM BAKER BECAUSE I WAS SO SURPRISED AND EXCITED!!! Thank you HEATHER! (AND MICHAEL!) Tim Baker is a Canadian musician from Newfoundland - I've been following him since 2006 - back then he was the front man for a group called Hey Rosetta! (He wrote all their lyrics too). Now he's a solo musician because the other guys got sick of the touring life (which is a LOT for Canadian musicians). ANYWAY, Tim is a phenomenal songwriter IMHO, both in instrumentation and lyrics. The Eighteeth Hole is just so calm, but with this underlying meloncholy of regret... it also took me a couple of listens before I realized the story being told. If you (or anyone else) ever want to check out more Tim Baker, I really do highly recommend him. I think you'd like his stuff - both as a solo artist and in Hey Rosetta! I will come back and watch the other requests tomorrow - but I couldn't wait on this one.

Dans lyrics are so clever and always feels like there’s a hidden message that just flies over your head. I always loved the little clip you see of the whole band in the car too!
