One Tree Hill 6x4, 6x5

The GM dude who wanted to hire Nathan as a coach didn't only want to hire Nathan due to attendance. I guess it's one of the reasons and it was definitely meant, by the writers, to be a gut punch to Nathan. Kind of taking the knife and twisting it in him but the guy did also say that one of the reasons he wanted him is that he would be a good coach.... and he would be. Fuckin Nathan can achieve and excel at anything he sets his mind to ♥️

Deb and skills bug me and it's not the age gap that bugs me I m fine with age gaps if everyone involved Is of drinking age and of sound mind!!! I am in an age gap relationship myself he is 9 years older though so not as extreme as Deb and skills! But him being her sons friend her knowing him as a child those things are what bug me!!

Yay, glad to see the upload! I am kinda bummed you didn't enjoy/love the memorial basketball game as much as I thought you would. And I get it. You're thinking of it from a basketball fan's point of view. But I think it also doesn't help that it looks like you might have missed the score, which was 67 to 61, so they only lost by 6, which is why Lucas said the Wildcats (btw, I thought you were gonna say "getcha head in the game" at that one moment 😂) clawed their way out. I definitely do agree with you that they shouldn't do it for the rest of the season (due to being worn out and playing with 5 would do better honoring Q), but for this one game, I'm okay with it. And yes! The 6th Man. Great movie. The star player died and was the ghost, helping his former teammates with some of their plays (similar to the angels in the movie Angels in the Outfield). But yes, the whole Skills and Deb is still just so weird, but whatever it is, what it is. 🤷 Hmm, I don't really have much to say about the rest, but oh my god, the whole Nanny Carrie thing in episode 6x5 is just whoa. Like, I know you're hurt from the death of your son, but you didn't have to go all out on every horror stereotype (the running through corn, drugging, etc.). But I get it also. I'm pretty sure I said the same thing when it came to Psycho Derek (Ian). I watch a lot of Criminal Minds, and losing someone can change someone's psyche and mess them up bad, but wow, they go to the extremes in OTH. And Lucas, come on dude, you should've called Lindsay and told her. But of course, he had to go this route—his Lucas way. I loved your reaction, as usual! There is more I probably could say, like about Brooke, Victoria, Peyton, Sam, Skills, Deb, Nathan, and Jamie, but honestly, I don't know what to say. 😂 Can't wait for the next one!!!

I feel like there was a better setup to the resolution of Nanny Carrie's story than the one we got. Like it's very campy and horror movie , which are things I love, but just a few eps ago they revealed that Carrie lost a child and they really could have delved into the effects of that kind of loss and trauma and what grief can do to a person, which is already a theme of this season. But they chose spectacle and melodrama. It's honestly kind of annoying because they had the opposite problem with Psycho Derek by giving him a sympathetic backstory at the last second before writing him off. The horror stuff is my least favorite aspect of this show and I'm glad they use it so sparingly. That's not why I come back to OTH so often. Now for the reason I do love this show. That scene between where Brooke confronts Victoria and gets the story of her life and how miserable she was because she became a mother. And you can finally see in that story that she resents Brooke so much, not only for existing but for having the talent and drive to create something amazing, which Victoria envies because she couldn't do it herself. And Brooke finally gets to see that her parents were just awful people who don't deserve her and none of it is her fault. But it's so sad that she feels like she can't share her pain with her friends who are constantly leaning on her for support. I think that goes back to her parents being neglectful and her so often feeling unloved or even feeling like she was a burden to them. And poor Peyton, who's lost so much, dealing with more family drama. I just want her to be happy and have the life she wants and deserves.

I never realized it until now, but One Tree Hill shaped the core of who I am. My love for writing, music, and art—all of it started with this freaking show. Weather that's a coincidence of timing or it inspired me I truly don't know lol
