I've returned

My trip home and back has ended and I have a story for ya.

Upon arrival at my parent's place, I learn the day before that a car sideswiped the house taking out the gas line, damaging exterior water lines, and knocking over an AC unit, but not before uprooting one of the pear trees by the driveway and finally crashing into our neighbors SUV after lapping around their house. No one was hurt, especially since this supposedly began near the neighborhood playground behind us.

So for the whole week I was home, we had no hot water or air conditioning. The gas company did provide us with a $75/day voucher reimbursement for food given that the stove is out of commission.

I Spent time hanging out with friends, but I wasn't able to meet up with everybody. Things were a bit hectic.
That Saturday, went to my cousin's high school graduation, and the following Sunday, celebrated my sister's birthday. Monday Made the drive back but first, we dropped my sister off at college to help her unpack for summer classes and continued the 8-hour drive along with my mom to South Carolina with both of our rides packed to help do some renovations and get the place cleaned up and ready for an event that my Cousin was catering the upcoming Sunday.

This is when I went dark (no wifi) and it's hard to do my work with family around. I was going to leave earlier but was offered payment if I bartend the event and stuck around Sunday to help set up and tear down the party.

Overall, a busy 2 weeks. Now I'm back.
