Also, no, unfortunately Doctor Moreau is not dead... he got away (mostly) unscathed with the help from Naenia's people (Spider, the masked man who Noe fought about ~12 episode back in the hallway when Vanitas announced himself to the Vampire World). They were funding Moreau's research and providing research specimens, so they gave up the lab in the catacombs to protect Moreau from Vanitas, Roland, and Noe. Lastly, this is semi-confirmed + speculation (mainly from me), but I believe it's implied that the Vampire of the Blue Moon didn't have a specific gender, so Vanitas often referred to them as "Mother" (usually when delirious and sick) while Misha called them "Father" instead, probably because they never knew their biological father. This Vampire (sort of) filled that void in both their lives. But our MC, Vanitas, has also said a unique name a few times in previous episodes, that we've never been told who it belongs to... he just says the name as if honoring a memory. I'll refrain from repeating just in case it's brought up in this last stretch again!
