2025-01-30 00:07:00 +0000 UTCSo, the Altana on the Yato's planet was already dying out. It states at the start that the planet was blown and it's Altana reserves were leaking, it was dying. Kouka would have eventually died alone on that planet when the Altana reserves completely bled out/faded. Umibozu often visited the planet to find the remaining crystals of energy there, but as he essentially said they were getting harder and harder to find- which made him have to look longer. I believe Kouka knew that one- her body would not handle the travel back, and two- her planets energy had already bled out and she wouldn't have enough to recover even upon returning, so she decided staying with her family in her final moments was what was most important to her. As for Utsuro- he is essentially an immortal with MPD who wants to unalive himself, but he also wants to take down and make those who have made beings like him and himself suffer the same pain they caused him. In order for him to completely die Earth has to die just as Kouka's planet died.
