How have you been managing your anxiety/boredom while social-distancing?
I have never been a stranger to social isolation, and I'm fairly comfortable at home. These traits are at least part of the reason why I've become so entrenched in the digital world... It's true I'm quite comfortable here for the most part.
I've also been rediscovering video games.... Gaming was once a huge part of my life from the ages of about 8-15 years old.
As such, I know the joys of just veg-ing out. Really, I do. (Tiger King anyone?)
I also know that to balance the sudden increase in stagnant activity, we should ideally be lightening our diet AND working in some grounding physical activities too.
For me, yoga loosens my tense muscles, deepens my shallow breathing and is still challenging enough to build strength over time. It just helps me feel more comfortable in my own skin. And perhaps ripping my bong (given to me by a modeling client last Fall if you can believe it) is not the greatest habit, but it really helps me quiet my mind and feel more inside my body. (Sometimes I do edibles instead.)
Do you do any yoga? What's a pose I should try?
I'm personally going on 3 weeks of being holed up in my condo with zero photoshoots, group get togethers, or dinners out with anyone :( But the fact that I actually CAN still work on SWAYMAG is keeping me sane (while challenging me to continuously do better!)
So thank you once again for your love and light in strange and uncertain times. I just know we'll all get through this together. My only advice: Keep yourself occupied with a variety of projects and tasks - smoking weed and doing yoga are just two suggestions.
A few more for the road:
