Voice Acting, Time, and Priorities
Added 2025-05-27 01:35:01 +0000 UTCI had lots of fun voice acting smaller games (MWM and 50S). Housewife Sim has been daunting and I'm overwhelmed. I'm making slow progress, but this is taking forever. There's just so many lines. If it adds a lot - that's awesome and it's worth it - but I'm concerned that my efforts could be better focused on new content.
This poll is to get your opinion to see what I should do in the future.
How important is voice acting to you in a game?

In my personal experience, voice acting is great, but is even greater having more GAMES. Voice acting is a real job, that takes alot of time, I'd rather see the Ellie that is having fun making games.

Given in mainstream games, a VA role is its completely own job - I think trying to do all the dev work, art modeling, and VA can be a bit overwhelming. At least to me, given the sheer time commitment it would take on the big projects, it is more interesting to get a fresh new game or update vs slightly enhancing what we already have. It is fun for short game jam-eqsue sized games though!
