I hope the days since have felt less long! 😄 yeah Farage and Reform's success is scary. They did so well and, even if they didn't get seats, coming second and third in a lot of places is a scary indication of where a lot of people lie. Hopefully in the years from now some of that can be righted a little.

2024-07-22 15:43:05 +0000 UTCNo, I liked the episode 😅 I should maybe have taken more time to clarify the 'I hate it'. That was really more a comment on the harrowing nature of it, less a serious critique. Strong episode in general, the ending was lacking a little something but I still enjoyed it 😊

2024-07-22 15:41:12 +0000 UTCAt first I wasn't crazy about this episode either. But after I sat with it for a while, I really started to appreciate it. I think RTD meant for people to be a bit unsettled it because it forces the average viewer to think more intensely about the topics it brought up. This issue that came to my mind is "what is our purpose in life?" in addition to those you mentioned. I guess I am reminded about what a spiritual leader once said after they delivered a rather challenging message to a congregation. They said their talk was meant to (paraphrasing here) comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable. Regardless, I would be interested in hearing in the future if your opinion of this episode has changed with time.

2024-07-21 01:08:23 +0000 UTCAHH man I've had a long long day and you bring up thin skinned Farage cheers lol their party (company ) came second in my area after Labour which was depressing. Like you I wish Corbyn had been more ruthless in the way Starmer and his people have been towards anyone on the left. Farage terrifies me and the people I talk to just don't watch things like PMQs and aren't interested in politics in general and how it affects their day to day lives. I also find those in the centre who call themselves liberals worse for proping up the lies told about Corbyn and we ended up with more Tory years to rip apart the country for their mates. We could have had a government with progressive policies I feel sad again.. re the episode I really enjoyed it and thought it was a strong one over all.
