2023-06-06 00:49:03 +0000 UTC"Coomers"?? :D Dude, I can honestly say I'm not trying to start anything here (to each his own, on cinema taste), but I can also honestly say: I have no idea what that 2nd sentence means. :D Sorry. :D On your 1st, here's what the most celebrated film critic of all time, Roger Ebert, had to say at the end of his (positive, 3-star) review of the movie "Scream": "What did I think about this movie? As a film critic, I liked it. I liked the in-jokes and the self-aware characters. At the same time, I was aware of the incredible level of gore in this film. It is *really* violent." Rest my case: I didn't say that the motion picture "Scream" was bad or "B-rate"--- merely pointed out that, if Paul Thomas Anderson's "Boogie Nights" is porn, then yeah, objectively, "Scream" is what you might call a slaughterhouse. It was also directed by the legendary/infamous Wes Craven, whose first '70s slasher classic "Last House on the Left"--- was literally compared to snuff porn. (Edit: Internet informs me that Craven's debut was in fact originally written *as porn.* :D)
