Don't go too crazy with the candy or you might end up like our pumpkin friend. Although she may have had more than just candy.
I poked at the model some more and there's more or less weight gain slider. Im not much of a weight gain person, but its there.

luckily in out area Halloween was not canceled. But I still don't think many parents will let their kids out. Just be safer to buy them a box of 120 mini chocolate bars and say fuck it.
