From Fiverr to Fantasia
Added 2020-07-05 09:31:54 +0000 UTCOnce in a while, someone comes out of the woodwork and makes me feel like a champion. That happened just yesterday. You see, a while back, I wanted to see if I could earn a living as a full-time writer, so I opened an account on Patreon and started selling gigs. I did some sales, but not enough to justify the effort, so I shut it down. More recently (a few weeks ago), I reopened it, but didn't advertise it. If anyone found it, it would be accidental and probably wouldn't be anything very serious.
Then there was yesterday. A potential buyer was looking for someone to write a story about a special kink and found me;
"I've been looking to commission an explicit kink story, so when I saw your solicitation I had to do a double take. I can't believe you're *that* Jaycee Knight! I'm a total fan of "Bloomin' Faeries!". It would be amazing to get an erotic commission from you. That said, my fetish *is* a bit odd, so I totally understand if this isn't a project for you. It's awesome to "run into" you doing more writing. Best of luck regardless!"
These are the kind of messages I don't get often, and that are very gratifying. His kink, it turns out, is right up my alley. Because it's something that I need to do in short order, I'm going to suspend Fantasia's Daily Mischief for a few days. It will be replaced by daily installments of this short story as I'm writing it. Those will be available to $5 and $10 backers. Also, because it's a 5000-word story and I retain the rights to it, it will be made available as an ebook through the Bloomin' Shoppe! at some point in the near future (stay tuned). I'm going to edit it and to get a cover made.
And for the record, I'm not posting this so you all rush out to Fiverr to order a gig. On the contrary, I'm not posting the link on purpose. I just felt giddy about receiving that order and wanted to share it with you. Doing these gigs can be very time consuming and can cut into my writing time for you, so I try not to do that. It's just fortunate that the client was happy to get a faerie-related story this time around, so it works out great for everyone.
So that's the news. Y'all have yourselves a (not too) sexy day. Be careful out there, there might be faeries lurking about.
