A Bit of BF History
Added 2021-02-12 01:38:09 +0000 UTCLong before Wondollar became the main artist for BF, I was using a short 4-panel script as a test to audition artists for the job. I just recently stumbled upon the art test for RR Pennell, which features the VERY FIRST appearance of everyone's favorite princess.
After a bit of tweaking, it became this:
I thought it was hilarious (and sexy), and decided to go ahead with RR. When he had to move on, I decided it'd be a better choice to have a female lead character to pick on, and brought Heather back to life. Unsurprisingly, I led the story toward this strip so I could reuse it. As a reminder, here's what Wondollar came up with:
To me, that was the strip where I "found" Bloomin' Faeries! and is probably one of my all-time favourites (even if it's a bit dated).
