(It also didn't help that I took advantage of a relaxing of the confinement rules to catch a movie. I may also have taken advantage of being in public to give the cute girls in the row in front of me some sexy thrills.)
The exterminator DID show up yesterday, though a few hours late. He glanced at my place (and at the fact that I'm in a pretty urban area), then asked to see the spider webs. I pointed at the cupboards. He got up on the counter, checked the top of the cupboards, then looked at me.
"No webs here, sir," he said.
I got up on the counters and checked. He was right. The spider webs were all gone, and I wasn't the one who'd cleaned them up. I nonetheless insisted he treat my place against spiders. In the words of Ripley, "it's the only way to be sure."
In other news, Jo is supposed to come visit me tonight. Seeing as I'm living by myself, I think the rules allow it. Nothing untoward is gonna happen (I respect the fact she's got a boyfriend). I'm just looking forward to some human company.
