Added 2021-04-06 10:01:36 +0000 UTCThanks to everyone who set me on the right path, I was able to decipher the beginning of the notebook. It was tedious work at first, but by the end of the first page, I got surprisingly fast. It talked about a ritual that involved using my own blood, turning it into powder, and mixing it with faerie dust. Obviously, that's not an easy ingredient to get, but I know where my faeries kept a small stash, so I'm set. There are other parts to the ritual (which I won't get into here), but in short, it's going to take me some time to get it all prepped.
With any luck, everything should be ready and I can try my first scrying ritual during the weekend. (Scrying magic is stuff that helps you locate people or things.)
There's not much I can do in the meantime. If I'm going to lose my abilities, however, I might as well not waste the time I have left. I'm going to take a walk later today (weather permitting) and "punish" anyone I see who's not wearing a mask.
