Five tries. FIVE tries is what it took.

If you remember about two weeks ago, I said I had to make this pill to locate the faeries? Well, things got...complicated. See, making the pill takes a day, then it has to rest against my heart for two days. That's THREE days per attempt. The instructions in the notebook said I had to spill sand on a map, take the pill in my mouth, then blow on the sand. If the faerie was at a location on that map, a spot of sand would remain to mark the spot. The problem is that the higher the scale, the less precise the operation is.

For the first pill, I decided to take a chance and printed a Google map of my extended neighborhood. That was a bust. For the second pill, I decided not to take a chance and printed a map of Quebec City and a radius of 50 km (30 miles) around it. That worked, but the spot didn't give me a lot of accuracy. It took me three more pills before I finally got a precise enough location. Now, though, I have a precise address. I visited the location yesterday.

Just in case your French is rusty, that translates to "Church of Scientology."

Yeah, we have those in Quebec City.

So, I was worried I was dealing with something more local, but what if that Coterie the notebook mentioned was something WAY BIGGER in the background? Something that actually OWNS the Church of Scientology? I know that makes me sound like a crazy conspiracy theorist, but...I don't know, I'm starting to have a bad feeling about this.

Maybe I should just cut my losses and accept that the faeries are gone for good.

Be honest though, your life will be boring as all get out if you don’t rescue them, and they are damsels as they are ladies, regardless if they’re faeries or humans. Do you want to go back to a boring life after having excitement like that?

DoctorFlash

Technically, they're faeries, not damsels in distress. But more importantly, if I don't do anything, maybe I can start living a normal life again. After a decade of craziness, maybe that's not a bad thing.

Never give up, never surrender!

You must rescue the faeries! What kind of man are you to abandon two damsels in distress!?
