Added 2021-09-30 10:11:20 +0000 UTCA word about Nurse Piper: she's a new character. As I was writing the storyline, I realized I needed some kind of sex expert for the comic (and to help Herman), and realized I had none that fitted the bill. I thought about using Karma, but it was never established (prior to her transformation into the dominatrix we all love) that she was highly versed into the sexual arts. Even during the bit where she could mind-control Lucky (and others), she was never established as a sexual giant.
It seemed to me like I also needed another "wise" character that my protagonists could go to for advice. Always returning to the Sorcerer/Sorceress seemed like an overused path with predictable results (the Sorceress almost always screws up). I thought it'd be fun to have a new character. I struggled a bit with the name, then fell upon Piper. With the subtle reference to the Pied Piper (the guy who leads rats to their doom with his flute), it seemed like the right fit. She's a seductress and leads men to their perdition.
For a bit, I thought about making her black. Colored characters are SORELY lacking in the strip and I've been meaning to correct that for a while, but to introduce my first black character as the castle slut just didn't sit well with me, so I decided to postpone that choice for now. I'm still thinking about what kind of black character would fit the strip. Perhaps a male would be better? Food for thought.
You'll probably also notice she's not exceedingly busty like so many characters in the strip. I wanted her to look relatively normal on the outside, but to have this incredible sexual capacity (and creativity) on the inside. It's likely she's so sexual and well adjusted that faeries don't particularly want to mess with her. Where would be the fun in that? She'd probably enjoy it and say thank you. :)
Anyway, that's the story behind this strip. I think the rest is self-explanatory. Even Piper can't get a rise out of Herman's...Herman, so clearly there's something profoundly wrong with him. Stay tuned for the rest.
