Some Content Removed
Added 2021-11-16 12:41:37 +0000 UTCIf you scroll down, you'll find this "content removed" image in several places instead of the content that used to be there. Patreon conducted a review of my page and highlighted several irregularities that needed to be addressed. I did so promptly last night and the results seem to have satisfied the reviewer.
Note that I harbor no resentment toward Patreon for this. Rules are rules and no one is above them. I'll admit that I don't understand all of them and would argue that some fall in a very gray area. Still, it's their playground, their rules. I have to play by them or I have to play elsewhere.
So please, no Patreon bashing. Also, if I've offended anyone with my images, know that it was not intentional. It's been fixed and it won't happen again.

There is some content I don't mind erasing (such as a few pornographic fake covers for some short stories). The remaining content will probably make its way to the website and some to the Discord channel. Seems like the most straightforward approach to resolve the issue.

2021-11-18 08:18:11 +0000 UTCI'd never heard of Slugbox until your comment. It seems hard to get a clear history of what happened (Reddit isn't exactly the pinnacle of professional journalism), but I get the general idea. Using the website seems like the right approach, but I still must be very careful. The rules apparently state that is forbidden to even LINK to content that's a violation of Patreon policies.

2021-11-18 08:12:22 +0000 UTCJaycee, check with Brad Guigar (Evil-Inc) for best practices here. He's run into similar problems and has resolved them with no loss of content exposure to his Patreon followers.

2021-11-17 21:54:28 +0000 UTCThis is similar to what happened to Grigbertz; what he did is remove the images with a replacement image like what you posted, and puts the removed images on his homepage gallery instead. Nowadays he posts slightly altered images on Patreon and mentions an alt version on his gallery instead. ...Of course, you can contrast this with what they did to Slugbox...

2021-11-17 03:04:42 +0000 UTCAbout the only other option that I've seen is to create a DropBox account and add users to folders within it based on the tiers here. That or the Subscribe Star route.

2021-11-16 14:21:25 +0000 UTCAdmittedly, it's next to impossible to create detailed rules that cover every tiny possibility (and anyway, that would become impossibly long to read or apply). Case in point: page 6 of the new Li Fang Fei story: she has a raging boner while teaching to a class of children. There's no actual sex and the children are not involved in any sexual act, but they witness a visible sign of arousal. Do you create a sub-rule saying that exposing children to such signs is against Patreon policy? What about erect nipples (from, say, the cold)? It's a never-ending battle, which is probably why this is left to the individual judgement of members of the trust and safety team. Context and demonstrable intent matter.

2021-11-16 14:20:31 +0000 UTCIf I do, I'm not authorized to link to it from Patreon. As Demian suggests below, I might have a Patreon-only area on the website. Or I might play it safe and avoid such content in the future. I'm considering all options. If it's trouble here, it may be trouble elsewhere...

2021-11-16 14:00:37 +0000 UTCIf this continues to be an issue will you consider putting a Patreon area on your website?

2021-11-16 13:18:29 +0000 UTCThat sucks, but I'm glad you were able to sort it out. I agree; their playground, their rules, but vague rules help no one. I hope they eventually clarify things so the rules are as clear as possible.

2021-11-16 13:13:10 +0000 UTCAny chance the "offending" content will be posted elsewhere?
