Jo came to visit yesterday, all by herself. (If you don't remember Jo, check out this old post recapping some of the more important people in my life.) Among other things, she and her fiancé Jules broke up, and she and needed to chat with a friend (that's me!). We hadn't gotten together since before Christmas, thanks to the very strict confinement measure in Quebec, so it was great to meet in person again.
It sounds like Jules may have flirted a little too much with another female colleague (a certain Laura). The two actually sexted fairly extensively and Jo found out. She admitted the spark hadn't been there between them for a while, but she was still upset by what he did. Her reason for reach out to me was partly because she missed me, but also because she wanted to see if any of the faeries would be willing to take part in a bit of retaliation.
No sooner had she said this that Grief popped nearby and volunteered for the task. I won't spoil what they planned, I'll let Jo write here about it once it's done.

2022-02-08 19:00:58 +0000 UTCOn the one hand, I don’t know how I feel about using real people in a story just to spite them (at least when they’re still alive) but on the other hand, it’s cathartic and rather satisfying. Either way, I’m curious to see what you come up with.
