In case no one noticed, Gwen's gestures when she casts her spells is 100% lifted from Doctor Strange.

Another production detail: the FWOOOOSH! between panels 3 & 4 didn't work as intended when I saw it, so I asked Wondollar to move it to the right side of panel 4. That's what you saw in the final version.

Narratively speaking, I'm really happy with this page. Okay, so perhaps it was a bit predictable, but I REALLY wanted to establish that Gwendolyn looked a lot more competent than she really was. I haven't really decided if she's got bad eyesight, if her spells have a mind of their own, if it's because non-faerie magic is extremely volatile, or if she's deliberately careless, but it's one of those.

And I like that Miranda (the maid) got hit by the spell. Now I'm imagining all sorts of kinky scenarios at home where her gnome husband might actually ENJOY getting depraved with her. Gnomes are polyamorous and often take more than one wife. Oh, the possibilities...
