My journey in getting a few more tattoos is moving forward. I've got two more since my last entry. The first was a no-brainer, especially after the migraine and nausea from last time (which lasted almost three days): a minor tattoo named p'kdan'seth (which translates as "Pain Bearer"). It's used to increase tolerance to pain. For one thing, it makes the engraving of tattoos much more bearable; it also makes the consequences of tattoo magic overuse less acute. And as a side benefit, since I've ramped up my weight and cardio training, it helps me push past my limits. The two-day-after aches are less crippling (if you do weight training, you know what I'm talking about).

The second tattoo I got (which I had Hannah place below p'kdan'seth) was oba'keelith ("Physical Adept"). It's another minor tattoo used to speed up the development of physical abilities. It doesn't do anything by itself, but if you do a bit of physical training, it hugely speeds up your progress. See, part of my strategy is to quickly develop some decent melee combat skills just in case it's ever needed. The really strong tattoos that I need to protect myself from Tarantina require a foundation (both in tattoos and physical attributes) that I need to get quickly. There aren't a lot of shortcuts on that road, but I think this is one of them.

The reason I had Hannah place it below "Pain Bearer" was because the interaction of both was said to trigger an effect named mith'laen ("Animal Magnetism"). It's one of the rare combinations of minor tattoos that generates an effect that can impact others. I don't think I need to draw you a picture, do I? Combined with Brooke's inherent good looks and the physical training I've been doing lately, it's going to help me score chicks like nobody's business.

And no, it's not that I need any help on that front. I've really had enough sex in the past year to last me a lifetime. The advantage that I'm looking for is to infiltrate organizations like the Coterie through their female members. I don't have anything to gather information (things like visions and premonitory dreams come with much more sophisticated and powerful tattoos, which I'm not ready for yet). So long story short, "Animal Magnetism" was meant to help me on that front.

Predictably, it was Hannah that was my first victim, so to speak. The moment the tattoo was done, there was a shift in her attitude. Because I'm a repeat customer (and not a bad looking one at that), we'd already gotten pretty friendly and personal. Despite her semi-goth look, she's fairly vivacious and friendly. She did mention a boyfriend (a biker, no less) that she's been with for a couple of months (I met him last week; he came to pick her up as she closed shop after doing my second tattoo). When she was done with "Physical Adept," there was a subtle change in her attitude. I might not have noticed it if I hadn't known it could happen or wasn't looking for it. She would glance at me less discreetly and she'd touch my arm or my shoulder more.

I wasn't going to take advantage of it, I swear. I just got done paying when she asked me if I wanted to schedule my next visit. She... "liked" working on me. Her inflection when she said it was pretty clear. I suggested she could work on me now if she wanted, though I was out of special ink for my tattoos. She said she didn't need ink for what she had in mind. And one thing led to another, and we ended up doing it on the tattooing chair. And the counter. And the floor.

I did make another appointment with her before leaving. I already know what the next tattoo I want is going to be. It's called fith'bayan, and it helps with sexual prowess. I could tell you it's all part of a greater plan, a strategy to get to something else, but I think you know me better than that. It's just for fun.
