Added 2024-01-09 14:00:06 +0000 UTCI was really excited to produce this comic. For one thing, it marks a major turning point in my writing for BF. It introduces characters that are part of a bigger storyline, something I've always been shy about doing in my comic. I've typically done short-term stuff, like sexual pranks and their consequences, but I've always stayed away from a stronger, deeper storyline with characters that have objectives and the agency to achieve them. Well, no more! I'm taking the dive after almost 14 years of producing this comic. About time!
I'm also using some AI stuff (specifically, Midjourney) in order to create designs for characters and locations that I want Wondollar to illustrate, without wasting his time (and my money) figuring out what I'm looking for. I've used Midjourney to create both WARLOCK FRIEDRICK (don't forget to do that thing with your voice) and Queen Glacia (who was never explicitly featured in the comic, but was kinda referred to in an old B&W comic done about Sir Thane. Sadly, the art was disappointing and I never continued working with that artist after that). I also used Midjourney to create WARLOCK FRIEDRICH's (...) mage tower, which (you may notice) is MUCH bigger on the inside than on the outside (kind of a TARDIS effect, for Doctor Who fans).
And I couldn't resist doing a reference to Dragon Magazine's Phil and Dixie comic by legendary artist (and fellow gentleman pornographer) PHIL FOGLIO. I'm not sure anyone picked up on it, but sometimes, I put this stuff in just to amuse myself.
