Second - new features!
We are getting back on the release train, slowly but surely as they say. As discussed before, this is the first of three thirds of module 10 of the WooHoo Wellness mod, and revolves around the new 'separated' status.
You can check the tentative module description page for more information, but I mostly advise not worrying too much about that and just playing with it.
Here's a video of one of my test runs today, as well!
Installation:
You do not need to re-download WooHoo Wellness. In fact, preferably don't if it's already up to date. (You MUST have woohoo wellness installed for this to WORK, find it here.)
HOWEVER, you will need to replace the script you already have from WHW with the one of the same name / almost same name that I am including in this post. Additionally, you will add the extra package which also come in this post.
It should look like this, minus whatever modules you don't keep.
This is different from the usual process, because this is a "small" release and part only of full module, whose other parts are still in development. To make my work faster and simplify the updating process of said partial module, I am keeping it separate from the rest of the mod currently. Once everything is done and released, this module will be integrated to the rest of the mod as always, and there will then be only one script. We are not there yet however, and I went for the quickest and most practical option.
Some useful notes about the new features:
– for half a day after entering the separated status, the Sim in question won’t be able to engage in any romantic interaction with each other. They just split up they’re not going to be lovey are they?!! After that time, they will be able to again if wanted.
– During that time period, these two sims should also be much less likely to autonomously decide to interact with each other.
– when the temporary separation is started, the Sims will lose their most positive moodlets (the happy mood for example will jump out the window) because this is a SAD time!!
– The Sims will not be able to ask each other to get back together again until they have reached about 25 points in the common ‘reconciliation’ metric.
– The result of asking to get back together depends on this metric, which is shared by both sims, but also on another metric which is individual and different between the two.
– A limitation: If a Sim he decides to go stay somewhere else, and he decides to make them return home before the separated status is removed, then you will have to remove the marker that keeps track of staying somewhere else manually, by clicking on the separated partner, going to “actions” then “woohoo wellness” then “remove relationship bit”. An interaction to do the same thing in less cheat-y way is being added.
- at the moment, you can decide to move out but do so after deciding to stay somewhere else so it all counts. Once the divorce stuff comes in I will add the options to move out permanently etc through the mod and also usable directly with separated status. For now there's the 'stay somewhere else temporarily'.
- another limitation: the sims may still greet each other with the romantic greetings.
REMEMBER, you CAN use ANY AND ALL interactions / interaction types to build reconciliation points! Romance, friendly, funny, etc! Not just the stuff from this mod :)

Clear your cache, launch the game, launch any household, do not save. Then, exit without saving still. Put the mod back in, and see if it's different. Pick another household from the one you've been trying so far, too

2021-09-23 15:20:46 +0000 UTCHello! I'm having problems with the surrogacy feature. The surrogate came over to visit then I closed the game. I updated and came back and her stomach was gone. I waited a Sim day and she said she had the baby. When I asked about the pregnancy, no baby came. I tried on a different save file and when I tried to use a surrogate I wasn't given the chance to pick and when I called the surrogate mother over it said she was already there but she wasn't. I didn't see anything about the update breaking the game. Did I do something wrong?
2021-09-23 14:50:39 +0000 UTCThanks for this message, I try very hard to keep this mod as functional & compatible as possible and considering all its interlocking parts I assure you it can be a headache, so I appreciate seeing a comment that says 'I'm having no issues', it's validating haha 😂 there are a few known issues to the entirety of WHW yes of course, and some weirder ones that happen only to some, but most issues encountered by people are caused by installation problems indeed! Still good when people report things so I can always know if something is wrong

To everyone having problems, I would just delete everything and redownload. It may be a pain, but it'll only take like 15 min at max. This mod is awesome. Looking forward to the upcoming updates,

I'm trying to get my sim to "express suspicion of closeness with" for a specific sim with their partner, but the only sims showing up are ones their partner treated at the hospital? None of her friends, acquaintances, just people my sim's partner's former patients 😅 are there any mods that conflict with this? I have the most recent version of all of your mods. Sorry if this is convoluted but I don't know if you have any solutions or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

So first thing I would say is check files, compare what you have to the list I put above, then make sure filed are directly in mods folder or one subfolder in but no deeper. Make sure you have the script file dating from August and not the one dating from April. Make sure script mods are activated in game. Then for the rest I would need to know exactly what options you are not finding

I have the relationship and wellness options as well as pregnancy & family.. but I can't seem to get everything else like separation options and possibly a few other options that I have seen discussed on this page. I know its an issue with how I am downloading it or if I am not downloading all the parts, but I was hoping someone could help a newbie out? thanks!

If everything is installed as per instructions, you will see in the relationship wellness menu the option to ask for a separation. If it's not there, I would ask what files you have in. My mod is as functional as a mod can be. Secondly, I'm always happy to refund anyone who wants a refund, all it takes is sending a pm asking for a refund and then I can do it. As for helping - I'm almost single handedly doing my best every day to help every mod user, and it's really difficult to help when I simply don't get what the problem is from the info given to me. I don't understand what seems to be the problem here so more details would help. You talked about a 'break up pop up', I have no idea what you mean by that. Is it a choice pop up window like from the cheating module, or do you mean an interaction menu, or an interaction itself, what's the context, etc.

Me and testers are not, but a few other users reported it today, some of them found it due to a mod conflict, some of them we're still not sure. What you should do is take the entire WHW mod out including the new stuff, then start the game then exit without saving, delete cache files, put mod back in. Also make sure you are using only one script for this mod and that it is the one from today. And make sure you do have the main mod and not just the files from this post here. Last, you sending me the error report would help
