when did you arrange custody - what version of the mod do you have? Many ways to get them back, if it's stuck you can just call child home early from the sender parent for example.

Hello, I hope you're having a nice day. I have a question how do you get your child to come back from a visit? for some reason it doesn't matter how many days I choose my child never comes home.

Mods showing under custom content means close to nothing unfortunately. Are your scripts enabled? Files extracted? No deeper than one subfolder in the mods folder?

I installed the mod, it shows up under my custom content but I cannot play it when i select my household of choice to play with

can confirm it does the same for me atm. used mange worlds to put back in right house. got the ex to come over in person and still was not working. not sure why

Since it is not something that normally happens, there must be something related to the context to it, but finding what is generally not easy or quick haha. Lemme know if it happens again. Also you can always ask Sims in person, so inviting the other parent on lot and asking in person is also an option to replace the phone call if it won't go through because of whatever mystery

Yeah I tried a few times but I figured I’d try it as the dad and it worked fine. Just thought it was something to bring attention to. Thanks for your quick responses I love your mods!

Well that doesn't matter, it should still have showed you the window to then pick the child, I believe I set it to show up no matter what, so it would seem something wouldn't go through at that stage

Yeah it had me pick the ex but she’s got only one child lol

So you call and then it doesn't show you a screen to pick the child? But it did in the reverse? 🤔🤔 Weird

As the sole custodial parent when I click the call ex button they come over but nothing happens. I had to switch to his household and call her for a visit and then it worked and I was able to set up the arrangements for shared parenting. I just thought it was odd I couldn’t do it as the custodial parent

Well that's a new one 😯🤔 so, precisely - you click the interaction, select to call the ex, select the kid, nothing happens?

I went through custody court and all that jazz but when I select send child to ex they show up at my house and never take the kid. What am I doing wrong?

No, the options are not there at all. And sorry I just thought because my sim isn't considered as having a child that's why they might not be popping up.

Upon getting divorced I imagine the game adjusts the tree. It's of no consequence for custody if the relationship panel still says the right thing. So, if you go under 'family and Pregnancy' you don't see the options for custody?

It also says that Meagan is Deacons mother its just in the genealogy tree it doesn't recognize it.

Yes it does. It says Meagan has custody. I think I might have found what's wrong. When I look at my family tree it doesn't recognize Meagan's son Deacon as her son. He doesn't appear there but he appear as her ex's son. I have no clue how to fix this.

Ah so they have done custody. I thought they hadn't, sorry. So, in relationship panel with the kid it says custody stuff?

Yes, they definitely separated through your system. I remember it was there at first, but it isn;t anymore. They still have the tags of it being a not amicable separation and the divorce is finalized and custody and everything has been assigned. They just recently separated when I got the custody features installed.

Did they separate through my system? Were they done doing so before you had the custody features?

Thank you so much for the continued work on this mod! It had improved my gameplay x10! I do have a question. My sims are divorced and the option to send my child to see their mom isn't appearing. How do I go about getting that to work?

I figured out how to use the custody mod few days ago, I found if I removed one of the old files and replaced it with the new file and it then worked.

That's just for the two higher tiers I believe. They must get some advantage otherwise it would be a little nonsensical. I don't do polls enough in fact haha

Thank you for your wonderful work and for keeping us in the loop. Completely understandable to need a break from this; I can't imagine it's fun or productive to keep battling with the same thing, and creativity is too capricious sometimes to box in. I hope the next module provides some much-deserved inspiration and engagement for you. Excited to see what comes next, but of course, your wellbeing comes first!

I seen that that one it’s wellness mod with the different modules I’m so dumb I just thought you clicked each individual one so it’s all in one together! Gotcha!!
