** MOD DESCRIPTION HERE **
- (this is due to EA) if you change pronouns through my interactions, the change will not reflect on buffs (moodlets) until the next time there's a loading screen. They'll reflect right away on other stuff.
- Sims who are canonically non-cis/het might not be given the right identity by the auto-assign (example: Morgyn Ember.)
Fix it up manually if it came out wrong.
Pre-existing couples get assigned orientations based on their relationships, so that shouldn't be as bad in terms of 'wrong assigns'.
For some of them, I could give them a fixed auto-assign (Morgyn again haha), but I'd need to know exactly their identity etc for that, and it's not officially said anywhere.

****** PURE COMPATIBILITY QUESTIONS:
- Mc WooHoo's "No Strings WooHoo" / "Allow Friendlier WooHoo Partners setting is Incompatible. Note that this mod comes with its own setting that amounts to the same thing. DISABLE that MCCC Setting.
- No other known mods with compatibility problems / adjustments!
***** QUESTIONS OF INTEGRATION:
- Turbodriver's mods will recognize sexual orientations from this mod in their sexual attraction systems. However, note that his mods look only at CAS gender, and not gender identities from my mod. And, romantic orientations will not be looked at by his mods - their system having to do with sexual attraction.

When I have my male sim transition all is fine until they get top surgery. At this point in attractions and other interactions in the game he is recognized as a female. Hopefully you can tell me its just a setting and how to fix this please?

2025-11-26 16:34:10 +0000 UTCHi, yes, the 'not allowed to change' serves to mark that, regarding what occurred with that particular sim I can't say - in your settings did you set it to still allow even when that's on? I believe there's a setting of that sort

2025-09-11 15:56:25 +0000 UTChello ! this mod is awesome and i love all your work, thank you for making all your mods! i have a question apologies if it's been answered but i couldn't find a direct answer for it; when looking at my sim's hidden traits, it has the 'identity/orientation not allowed to change' and 'ran discovery chances.' however, in another save, a sim that had those hidden traits still later discovered they're aroace, so i'm not sure if i have something wrong in my settings? i have all auto related settings on since i enjoy my sims just going with the flow, but sometimes the first sim i make i want set in their gender and orientation so i manually pick them through the mod pie menu, so i'm not sure what causes a discovery to still happen. sorry if this is convoluted, i just wanted to know if i can allow played sims to still self discover and be auto assigned identities while one specific played sim doesn't? no problem if it's not do-able :)

Auto assign doesn't necessarily play into it, ie, if a sim was auto assigned straight they could still find they're bi or gay, if a sim was auto assigned gay they might find they're bi, etc. Same as if assigned nothing

2025-08-11 16:59:53 +0000 UTChi! i love this mod but the wording in settings has been confusing me, so i'd love some clarification. do my played sims need to have auto assign on for self discovery to happen? i hadn't encountered it yet when i had auto assign off for played sims, so i tried turning auto assign on and had one of my children age up and immidiately get the genderfluid trait with no discovery prompts. i'm not sure if i'm just misintepreting the settings amgmekg.

2025-08-11 16:26:01 +0000 UTCI had a sim with an unexpected crush. They confessed to their crush (and it was accepted). When I went to the romance interactions, there weren't any, not even grayed out. I feel I may have messed up a setting somewhere, and I can't figure out which one(s). Any ideas as to which setting(s) it could be? Maybe I am missing an additional mod I overlooked? When I manually change their orientation to be compatible with the crush, the interactions appear again. I also have RPO and WW installed, and I do not have MCCC Woohoo installed. For packs, I have all major except the new Enchanted pack.

My teen sim got an unexpected crush on an elder 😭 I really loved that one of my active sims got a random unexpected crush, but the age difference was just way too creepy to let it happen! I read the mod description page and looked through the settings, but I didn't see anything about age (although I might have missed it--if that's the case, sorry for the unnecessary question!).

I have mccc friendlier woohoo disabled and I have the updated RPO and LGBTQ mods installed. I removed the settings file, cleared my caches and the issue persists. I am stumped.

2024-11-04 18:27:52 +0000 UTCI had the same issue as Nectotic Witchery with my sims. I tested with no other mods and it kept happening. Kept getting the "not interested in a sim they aren't romantically compatible with" pop up no matter what I did (I went as far as testing to make them both pan and no dice). I ended up having to uninstall the mod and you know how much I love this one so that was painful. I am happy to send you a save file for you to review; let me know.

Thanks. P.S. Romance and Friendship option to block / decide not to develop romantic feelings for a sim causes a LE to pop up.

2024-10-23 02:27:15 +0000 UTCHi, Sims only get stuff auto assigned at their first appearing in the world. They wouldn't change their name autonomously after that because they're part of the pool of Sims you might be playing or involved with. So I suspect something else might have changed the name 🤔

My Sim was FWB with a female Sim and when I went to invite them over they'd changed their name and pronouns. I loaded into their house to do some gender-affirming stuff for them but I was just confused because their name had changed lol

2024-10-03 15:10:33 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if something broke with the Oct. 2, patch, but my sims will no longer woohoo with each other. I've taken all my mods out and narrowed it down to an issue with the LGBTQIA mod. I first replaced MCC and tested out. The woohoo interaction worked just fine. Then I put the LGBTQIA mod back in and ran into issues. I'm getting 'This sim is not interested in Woohoo due to not interested in woohoo with women' when my lesbian sim tries to Woohoo with her spouse. I'm also getting this with my heterosexual couples. Right now, the only mods I have in my game are MCC and the LGBTQIA mods. I don't know if anyone else has run into this or if it's just my rotten luck. I do have the 2.3v of the LGBTQIA mod installed. I double and tripled checked that just to be sure.

2024-09-24 20:29:02 +0000 UTCI've actually noticed that too when making a new save to troubleshoot the mod with my kissing issue. The game says it's in the mod folder and therefore in the game but once I get to the sims in game it's not available to interact with in the wheel options. Managed to somehow gain access to it once thought "testcheating on" and shift click during one out of 8 restarts of the game but that might have been a fluk because I could not do it again after restarting the game? Been very confusing. And just like you with the old saves it was accessible with no issues.

When I click on my sim the gender and orientation does not show up on the wheel for me to select so I assign. It shows up in my old saves but I am making a new one and it will not show up. I have taken the mod out and put it back in even tried to make another new save but it still does not show.

Ever since the latest patch update to the game last week my sims despite being compatible before the patch will no longer allow their romantic partner any form of kissing after said patch. Removed the Mod to make sure if it was it causing this issue and it went away when removed from the Mod Folder. Just thought to mention it just in case. Wish you a continuing good week in the meantime. 😊

As for your issue, no that would not be a deliberate thing; I don't see a cause in the code either. We'd have to check with no other mods and in a new save to be sure we're narrowing things down

I'm noticing that when I go into settings for this mod and put "0" for the % of NPC sims set to aromantic and asexual, then *all* of the NPC sims become aromantic and asexual. Is that because you haven't allowed for it to be set to 0? Or because I'm misinterpreting the meaning of the setting? Or maybe there's a mod conflict or something?

Here is the logic of the mod: if a sim gets auto assigned identities, they can get auto assigned having done some choices in accordance with that, to simulate their life. An Elder probably already changed their name and such, for example. Younger Sims have fewer chances of getting stuff like that auto assigned and for any played sim, you can turn off auto assign for played Sims for example. It would not be realistic to assign identities to sims in the world but none of them has made any life choice to feel in accordance with their true self, wouldn't it? I understand it can be inconvenient if you want to play all these sims but in that case I recommend turning off auto assign for played Sims at least

I would have liked to do it through gameplay so I was wondering if it's possible to modify this?

2024-06-16 03:52:13 +0000 UTCI don't know anything about modding and have no idea how difficult it might be, but would it be possible that trans teen sims would need to ask for their parents permission before going on HRT or doing gender-affirming surgery and if they say no you get options to convince them and until then you can't do it? I just feel like that would make the gameplay more realistic :3

I have a question / feature request regarding the LGBTQIA+ mod. I play the game on long lifespan and I was wondering if it would be possible to make the gender-affirming options (like the hormone replacement therapy and voice therapy) take longer? It would be great if the player could set the length, like the pregnancy length in MC Command Center, but making the options take, for example, twice as long when playing on a long lifespan would be great as well. I have no idea how hard it would be to make a change like this, but I hope you can take a look if it is something you can and want to do.

I enabled all of the automatic settings and i want to know if it only sorty the traits automatic to all sims or if there is a time where it sorts it new every few days7week? Because i enabled it and will now check on all my hoseholds what it gave to the sims and will change it manually for some sims. and i dont want it to change for this one but i want it to manually give them when family members grew up to teenagers or if the game generates new sims. sorry for the bad english btw

When a sim gets an unexpected crush, they're unable to reconsider their orientation even if their friendship bar with the sim they're crushing on is all the way maxed out. Do you know if it might be a potential conflict with another one of my mods, or if its a problem with this one itself?

I can change clothes with no issue, but after making changes to the sim's body (change shoulder size etc...) in CAS it just reverts back in live mode. Any ideas what could be causing this?

That file however doesn't contain your sim's orientations, it contains only the mod settings, and its deletion cannot remove anything loaded on your sims :) only thing that can do that is saving without the mod installed. Meet&Mingle isn't available in the Lgbtqia Mod anymore because it has been Expanded and improved and became its own mod in the RPO collection

I tried doing what you said and deleting the global settings thing out of my saves, but all that did was delete all the orientation and identity settings I had for all my Sims. 😅

2023-02-24 04:29:02 +0000 UTCBy the manual change I mean clicking on the sim>orientation and identity>decisions on genderfluidity expression>(I already have "reflect identity shifts through gender expression" enabled, and the"change expression" option only shows up when "reflect identity" is enabled)>"Genderfluid: Change gender expression (now: X-leaning)". In place of the X is either "Fem", "Masc", or "NB". When I click that option it brings me to an input feature called "Genderfluid: Current Gender Expression" and prompts me to input 0,1,2,3, or 4 to indicate "Nothing", "remove", "fem", "masc", and "NB". When I input 2 for "fem" it gives me an alert that the identity has shifted to fem, but it doesn't do that when I input masc or NB. As far as I can tell, "remove" just disables the "reflect identity" option, and "nothing" keeps it enabled but removes the "change expression" option.

I just got my first genderfluid sim though and am having some issues with the genderfluid-specific features. I think the idea is great, especially with the changing pronouns and outfits option. Once my sim had the trait, they started out "NB-leaning" (gender-neutral outfit and they/them pronouns) and everything was going smoothly. While they slept I got an alert that their fluid identity had shifted to "fem-leaning" and they went about their next day using she/her and wearing the fem outfits. This was all going great until I noticed they hadn't shifted in a few days and I was still curious. There's an option to manually select the identity the sim is leaning toward so I used that and input "2" for masc and nothing happened. There wasn't a notification and the pronouns and outfit didn't change. The manual selection option always displays a "now" message for the way the sim is currently leaning and it did say masc, but that was the only difference I noticed. I switched it manually to NB-leaning and the result was the same. When I switched it back to fem-leaning, it gave me the alert that the pronouns and expression had "changed". Is there a way I can get it to work normally and auto-switch to any identity and not just fem? This sim is afab so maybe that has something to do with it? I'm not sure; any help is appreciated :)

This mod has been playtested at great length by me and testers already and we've not had such issues that I can recall. I have a Woohoo favorable demiromantic ace couple in game and all has been working for them as usual. However they are not aro so that's a bit different. I see now that you said you tried with no other mods in at all. If such is the case, we can rule out interference. Here's the next idea: it's best to test separately also for ace + alloro, aro + allo sexual, and then aro ace to pinpoint exactly where things don't behave as expected for your sims. That gives me critical data to check up both in game and in code. Thanks. (side note I am going to bed so I'm not looking at things until day again, so don't worry about delays :))

Set two sims as a married couple, make Sim 1 aroace and romance/woohoo-favorable, and make Sim 2 perform romantic and sexual advances on them. Even when the advances *do* succeed, there is a notification stating that they're incompatible.

2023-02-13 03:16:54 +0000 UTCHi, this is actually a WW thing and not my mod :) My mod sets the cas gender orientation for Sims. WW reads that, and requires that Sims have matching romantic and sexual orientation to allow sex. Asexual in the game and therefore in WW is considered non matching. Same for aro. In my mod, it is matching. My mod will let Sims Woohoo so long as their sexual orientation matches. I hope that makes sense!

If they're romantically attracted to women, they're okay with sex with women. If they're romantically attracted to men, they're okay with sex with men. If they're biromantic or panromantic, they're okay with sex with any gender. If they're aromantic, they're not okay with sex with anyone, even if they're woohoo-favorable. Selecting "aromantic romance-favorable" does the same thing in reverse. If they're sexually attracted to women, they're okay with romance with women. If they're sexually attracted to men, they're okay with romance with men. If they're bisexual or pansexual, they're okay with romance with any gender. If they're asexual, they're not okay with romance with anyone, even if they're romance-favorable. I think this is where the problem stems from.

"[Sim 1] is not interested in romance with [Sim 2] due to being aromantic" and "[Sim 1] is not interested in WooHoo with [Sim 2] due to non-compatible sexual orientations" both continue to show up despite my sim being romance-favorable and woohoo-favorable. They won't stop rejecting advances from their wife.

This seems to confuse a lot of people, so, I need to know that to know the answer :) But basically WW sex requires compatibility in romance and in sex and that's all on WW's side not mine. For aro in my mod and for the game, I actually re checked it at patch day, it should accept fine almost all the time if they're favorable, regardless of what type of relationship is established

2023-02-05 00:13:00 +0000 UTCI ended up having to set my sim as pansexual and panromantic because I couldn't get around the rejection without changing universal settings. I want orientations to impact gameplay, but I'm disappointed with how little selecting "favorable" actually does. When my sim is set as a romance/sex-favorable aroace, they reject their wife because "this sim does not meet their attraction requirements" (paraphrased), despite the "favorable" setting. It sucks, because this sim is supposed to represent me (I'm aroace and in a romantic relationship irl). It sounds like my sims will have to divorce and become queerplatonic partners in order to interact romantically, which makes the "favorable" setting pointless. My sim should have romantic and sexual freedom by default with the "favorable" setting. It doesn't make sense for them to reject sims on the basis of a lack of attraction, when attraction isn't meant to dictate their favorability in the first place.

Once refused, while the refusal moodlet is active rejection is systematic, so of course one must wait till the rejection moodlet is gone. At any point barring that case, they can also offer it themselves which does not come with any refusal etc. Refusal in this mod always shows a notification explaining why. If no notice, the refusal is not from this mod. So that's an important thing to check :) Aro in this mod accepts romance only in qpr situations atm so that is another thing to keep in mind. That's sth I'll probably change onwards. As for grey out feel free to turn if off in settings. Albeit more developed than the game's own grey out system, it can still struggle with cases like this one. If refusal is constantly systematic, I'd try with no other mods in and report back

BUT - they were afab, and now when it says they are trans it's keeping them as a female instead of changing to male. Is there some way to change that without changing the trans trait?

2023-01-13 22:37:14 +0000 UTCHi, usually that's due to cas assigns on played Sims and not to the auto assign system. The mod tries to adjust itself to reflect cas when not the other way around. In those cases, changing it manually is pretty much it! Hope this helps

Can you try that and let me know if it gets it unstuck?

2022-11-23 22:16:33 +0000 UTCIt has always worked fine for me and many others BUT there are some users who have the same issue with it as you do. It has to do with your game not liking the sim generation process for whatever reason (a process that happens if no match exists in the world and the mod must create one). So, I would advise using this interaction on'y once you know for sure that there are some Sims in the world that would potentially match your sim. So for example if you have npc auto assign on for various things, and have been on several public lots etc, chances are a match should exist somewhere. Once again I have no idea why some users have this issue, sorry!

I allow potential negative responses and last night when they aged up my new heirs twin got the "phobic" trait. This is a sim with a non binary parent who uses the parental title "Nobi", they/them pronouns, and while mostly presents in dress congruent with their birth gender does wear accessories traditionally associated with the opposite sex. Now my brain is spinning on how to handle the situation in a realistic manner. I would like to save the parent/child relationship, but I have to be honest that my teen will struggle. This mod is really helping me grow, making me think about angles I never explored. Thank you again 😊

2022-09-30 15:26:19 +0000 UTCAge and assignments of the sim you tried it with? Is your game up to date? On another side of things : what are your computer specs in terms of processor and ram? This is demanding for the game when no match exists on the sim world for your sim, and if you Mr computer is weak, that could potentially lead to your result. So, make sure a match would exist, by having auto assigns for npc's on for a while for example. But please do let me know the answers to the questions above :)

Edited to add: I disabled 'no strings' in MC Woohoo and I was able to use it once, but on requesting a new match I got the force close again.

Because this mod has been undergoing heavy core changes between each update, the settings keep changing in ways that make the settings file of previous versions obsolete. That is why it must be deleted. A new one will generate with default settings. Normally, this would not be necessary as often or at all, but like I said, this mod has been undergoing constant heavy transformation. Assignments are untouched by that process of resetting settings.

I have the option for the sim to tell others about there orientation and identity but it doesn't change the in the closet trait or give any moodlets or pop ups. Im a bit confused haha.

The discoveries are for Sims who have something that is not what would be discovered, ie Sims who think they like only one gender might find out they like more, Sims who think they're allo because they're not really aware of what is what might find they're not, etc.

I've assigned Gay and Lesbian traits to numerous sims, so I'd like them to show up at a lot designed for them, not just on certain nights.

I wondered if it would be possible to add some hot spot lot traits for specific orientations; Gay men, Lesbians, Transgender, etc. It would be so great if it were easier to find like sims. I admit I don't fully understand the "special nights" as described for the current lot trait but I would prefer if I could designate certain lots for certain orientations / identities. If you are updating from a version older than v1. 3 to v1. 3+, either delete your globalsettings file from this mod or manually edit the file, instructions are on my website. It is recommended to just delete the file and re do settings in game if you aren't tech savvy. For more info you can check out the mod description page

I've been playing a legacy challenge recently, but still rotationally checking in on my spares' families and my twins aged to teens just now and turns out one is a trans man [they/them] (not to mention t4t! a lovely addition) and the other a trans woman [she/her] and it was such a pleasant surprise as a trans man myself seeing their new names and having them come out to their extended family; i really was on the verge of tears tbh. 2022-07-24 00:55:57 +0000 UTCThe auto assign systems decides to auto assign some transition steps to some Sims who are auto assigned trans. Not all of them will have had any change, some will have had some changes, some will have had all changes. This is to represent all sorts of realities. It is up to you to continue an auto assigned Sim's transition in gameplay if you wish, or decide that they are where they want to be already. Sounds like the sim in the example above is born assigned male and went and had top surgery. Those who've had top surgery will have had chest changes. Those who've changed name will have a name fitting their non-birth gender. Same with pronouns, impregnatability, pee standing or sitting, etc etc. You can see in the trait panel or in 'view orientation and identiti' if they've had any surgeries, done hormones, or not. As for outfit preference I used to auto switch it systematically but decided to integrate it to the auto assign systems differently, so that some trans Sims can be 100% pre transition / 100% closeted, etc. At the moment the outfit pref does not quite well sync up with the other changes however, but that will be different in the next release as it's stuff I've already changed. Sims who are manually assigned 'trans' don't get any auto assign of transition steps because if you are doing manual assigns, it is expected that you intend to have control about this specific sim, and play them and play their transition in gameplay if that is what is wanted. There is however a shift+click menu and various cheats under the cheat / 'make assignments for' side of the mod to fix up a sim to whatever may be needed.

They have masculine body, masculine clothing type, pee standing up and can get women pregnant. But they have breasts. So im not sure if its that they should be using a female clothing type or if they shouldn't be able to get people pregnant. Is it possible for the mod to do checks like that when it gives someone the transgender trait? But over all I love this mod. And im so excited to see where it can go after after they add the updates to the game. Awesome mods

Trans kids exist and it would be amazing to be able to tell that kind of story. (I know that kid sims wouldn't be able to have all the gender affirming/transitioning options, but it would be great if a kid sim could have access to the "decide on new name" and "decide on new pronouns" options + parental reactions to their kid expressing gender confusion/being trans.)

2022-07-09 21:11:24 +0000 UTCHi, Yes there will be lot traits, but first, so that the lot traits are more interesting, I would prefer to flesh out more socials between Sims who are various 'degrees' of being out or not, Sims who have various experiences to share, etc etc so that it all makes more sense. I would also like to have some sort of dating app thing to find Sims specifically matched :) Anyways, this mod is still being developed in every direction so, it just takes time and work haha. Right now it's the turn of the unexpected crushes to get more developped. One thing at a time we'll get there. But who knows maybe I'll throw some hyper simple lot traits to begin with and expand later.

I know the sims community is filled with LGBTQIA+ simmers and it's wonderful to be able to reflect that more accurately in our own games. I wanted to ask if you had ever thought about creating a "gay hotspot" lot trait or even just a general "LGBTQIA+ hotspot" lot trait that I could apply to a lot that would prompt primarily LGBTQIA sims to spawn. I've been trying to create a world that generally reflects real life, so my LGBTQIA sims are generally about 10% of my total townie population. This sometimes makes it difficult for my sims to find a partner or even just a simple hookup without just wildly asking everyone their orientation. I'd love if, just like real life, I could make my own gay bars or nightclubs where sims could meet likeminded folk. There was another LGBT mod I think that was missing a lot of your features, but this is one thing they did well and that I think would be a good addition. Thanks again, Zach

2022-07-08 20:22:34 +0000 UTCIt should have been doing that since v1. But if your sims had no assignments at all, the situation might have been different. There were fixes early on about things misbehaving when Sims had no assigns. So maybe that's what you needed. Let me know. You can always re do assignments if they're wrong. For me I've never had an issue of them being wrong

I tried this mod when it first came out but removed it from my game because it had my already married sims or sims already in relationships refusing romantic interactions with each other due to incompatibility. It says this version takes already married or partnered sims relationships into consideration when auto applying. Was this not in the previous version or did I do something wrong last time? I have downloaded the new version and am about to put it into my mod folder.
