- DON'T SEND SURROGATES TO THE HOSPITAL!
- If a surrogate doesn't have the option to send away a child because the birth happened while off lot, try the workaround below:
- DO NOT romance or Play NPC surrogates (you can obviously play your played sim surrogate, just not the NPC auto-generated ones). You will find that I blocked most romance options for them, too. Why? Because their pregnancy system is altered for them to be NPC surrogates and they are not to be played!! You might encounter them in the world without knowing that they are a surrogate, but romance being unavailable with them will be a dead tell :) If you want to play with an auto-generated NPC surrogate, you will have to first make them not be a NPC surrogate anymore, you can't have both. To do so, remove the trait 'Trait_IsNPCSurrogate' from them, through my mod under 'actions' or through any mod that removes traits.
DOWNLOAD:
- remove previous versions of this file, if you have any
- grab the RPO Core Library if you don't have it;
- grab the .package file from this post and put it directly into your mods folder or one subfolder (it's a .package file, so, not extracting!)

I started a surrogacy for, my surrogate gave birth but i made a mistake and deleted the baby from my sim's relationship before she could give me the baby now i can't start another surrogacy or insemination because i still have a process still ongoing.

2025-01-01 14:27:23 +0000 UTCSo, that's 'normal' in so far as that interaction wasn't planned to show at all for surrogacy, BUT it would make sense for the carrier to be able to ask the Sims who will actually be the parent and then use that info when naming the child. So that's something I can tweak. I got it for this one no worries

2024-11-25 04:05:34 +0000 UTCMy end goal is to try to get the parent to tell me their preferred name for the baby. Every time I go to click on the ask the preferred name, it’s greyed out and says that I haven’t told them the surrogate sim is pregnant. So I’ve been clicking on ask to feel baby and other pregnancy interactions, to see if it will fulfill the being told about the pregnancy requirement for the interaction. Have others had the interaction greyed out?

2024-11-25 03:54:24 +0000 UTCEven if I have invited over the future parents and I have invited them to feel the baby, all of the surrogacy interactions say that I have not told them about the pregnancy so I can't as for preferred name or any of the other interactions.

2024-07-31 23:06:22 +0000 UTCHi, If the sim died there's nobody to give the baby to. I'm not sure what other options could happen in that case other than keep or give for adoption. No the sim won't be paid. I advise to either cheat get rid of the baby, clear pregnancy markers and try again or just roll with it. I will consider preventing the Sims who receive babies from surrogacy from dying.

2024-02-03 17:53:44 +0000 UTCMy bio mom died before the surrogate could deliver their baby. What can I do? The only option is to keep the baby or put it up for adoption once it’s an infant. Neither were a part of my storyline. Will my sim still be paid?

2024-02-03 17:07:06 +0000 UTCFamily tree is DNA so it will show the donor of the sperm and the egg, ie the carrier and the donor you chose. Sim profile shows relationships and should say 'mother' for both of them and nothing for the donor If not, sth is going wrong and we need sim logs to get any idea of what Sorry for late reply, patreon often does not notify properly

If you choose to carry a child for a family you picked, instead of registering with the surrogacy agency waiting for a call, the baby will glitch and stay. However, if you do register and wait for the call than that baby will disappear from the lot to the family! LOL :P

2024-01-05 19:32:21 +0000 UTCI had this same problem so I tried to send the baby to the family the hard way. (Find the family in their world, spilt played family and there we go. LOL ^_^!) Turns out that somehow, either the game or the mod duplicated the baby so you got two. One for the bio parents and one for the surrogate. By that time, I was just tired of exhausting every other option ao aged the kid up and gave it to them. I guess they got kind of twins with the same name and different age LOL.

2024-01-05 19:00:39 +0000 UTCHey Lumpinou! I am having an issue with IVF option. I had two female sims that were in a relationship, one decided to do IVF and used a donor which I picked. In the family tree it's showing up as the donor and the female sim as the parents, instead of the two moms and relationship bit in their info panel of having a baby together through IVF. Do you know how to fix that? I also tried to go through the actions panel and try to add a relationship bit for having a child together for the two moms, but there is only an option of fathering...Hopefully you might know a work around for this! Thank you so much for this amazing mod. You are amazing and make this game fun!

Since it's my legacy sim, I want to have the genes pass on - so my thought was to ask my heir's wife's brother to be the sperm donor. The RPO menu doesn't show up when talking to him (for either) - is this because he is in the family tree (BIL) or is there something else preventing this? Both my sims have discussed having a donor and agreed to it. Should I just use the science baby instead (I'd like to have the realism of RPO). Thanks!!

(Extra cool if it lowered their fertility or caused them to reject woohoo for an hour or too, but probably not worth the effort for such a small effect.) And maybe women could do egg donation for much higher payout only if YA and healthy (maybe even requiring certain traits, and this one hopefully impacting fertility temporarily). You've probably considered this before, and if you have reasons for not doing it, no need to explain or even reply. 💕

2023-03-17 19:39:32 +0000 UTCHi, the mod sticks to realism and therefore, if two Sims who cannot be impregnated but can impregnate use a surrogate, one of them would be considered sperm donor and the surrogate would be considered egg donor. If you change your sim's impregnation abilities then that can be different. Gender itself is completely irrelevant and never looked at, but where the eggs and where the sperms are is what matters basically. Hope this helps!
