[MOD] Science Baby Tweak: In-Game Choice of Pregnancy OR Instant
Added 2023-03-14 19:40:16 +0000 UTCHeya, a small mod for you while I go through all my mods and make the necessary updates.
For those of you who UPDATED their game AND want to use to science baby feature, but want to be able to choose between it being instant delivery or it causing a pregnancy.
This preserves the game's system, EXCEPT it additionally gives you the CHOICE to have a pregnancy OR an instant birth.
NOTE: The sim doing the 'science baby' interaction from phone is the one who will be pregnant if you choose pregnancy. Sims who can impregnate can also carry those pregnancies.
If you want an in-depth surrogacy / artificial insemination mod with a more realistic approach, I have one (RPO M8: Artificial Insemination & Surrogacy). But it will need to be updated for this patch before it comes back in circulation.
Mix of added tuning & overrides, because this wasn't worth a script. Overrides:

I've tested it with all configurations of couples and situations. All is fine on my end. If you have a question or issue, ask! :)
DOWNLOAD & Installation:
1 - remove files from previous versions, if any
2 - REQUIRED: Lumpinou's Toolbox Library-Mod.
If you don't already have it, grab the REQUIRED "Lumpinou's Toolbox" Library-Mod here (alt: here), and put it into your mods folder or one subfolder, NO DEEPER.
3 - grab the .package file from this post (link below), and put it into your mods folder or one subfolder.

Hi, normally that means you have another mod preventing the pregnancy from starting properly

My sim leaves to have the science baby, returns, and has the pregnancy moodlet but rather than say "2nd trimester in 24 hours" there is no trimester or time listed - that space is blank. The pregnancy never advances. It has been awhile since I had a science baby in the game so not sure when it stopped working.

2023-05-15 10:28:50 +0000 UTCOK, put things back, then delete the file you have of this mod and re download and we shall see. There is no reason whatsoever for it not to pop up after the normal EA pop up like usual
