[Mod] Milestone Fixes: no rotationally vanishing milestones, enable for inactive played, CC issue fix - Sims 4 Mod

File 2: CC/Mod Object Fix
2. Without the fix, removing CC linked to a milestone will leave your household forever unable to load. The fix, well, fixes that.
FILE 3: Load Milestones on Played but not Currently active Sims (NateTheL0ser's idea)
3. If you play a sim and they interact with a sim from another played household but not currently active, that other sim will be able to gain milestones properly with your sim, for example if they get married, etc.
4. With this file installed, Sims from Played households but not currently played will have their existing milestones recognized by the game as existing, and therefore infants and toddlers with the relevant milestones will be able to move about.
OBSOLETE AS OF DEC. 5 2023:
FILE 1: No Rotationally Vanishing Milestones 1. Prevents milestones from rotationally disappearing.
Context:
So, NateTheL0ser was noting that, when visiting another Played (but not currently active) household, infants and toddlers there acted as though they had no milestones and therefore could only lay there.
I made a functional 'fix'. Then I continued on to make this also fix the fact that when a sim from a Played but not currently active household is doing things with your active played sim that should grant them milestones, it doesn't. And added also sth to prevent milestone disappearing rotationally, until EA provides a fix.
I would not have made this if not for Nate, so, thanks to him!

1. DO NOT EXTRACT THESE FILES! PUT DIRECTLY IN MODS FOLDER.
2. I cut this mod into three parts:
- the first one is the bug fix for rotationally vanishing milestones;
- the second is for the bug related to CC that links to milestones;
- the third part contains tweaks to allow milestones for Played Sims not part of current household. This part might be performance greedy for people who have hundreds of sims marked as played.

2025-07-09 16:49:12 +0000 UTCThe milestone/cc fix mod just allowed me to detach my G10 heir from having to have some random cc installed to load him - which is a HUGE relief since one day he'll end up in a forever save that I do not want to depend on any mods/cc Thank you so much for making it 🥰!

Can I leave your fix in, to make sure I don't lose the milestones in my played families?

And what it means is, for players who have a ton of households marked as played, say if they go to a crowded public lot, all the Sims marked as played who would appear on it would all have the milestone tracking system active on them, and it can be assumed that this could mean some lag on computers that aren't equipped to deal with it

Myself I have had no crashing and other modders who use this did not warn me of any issue either - please let me know How it goes without other mods installed

2023-04-13 12:03:49 +0000 UTCit happend to me too since adding in your fix. Though I can't say it is necessary your mods fault. I keep getting a white screen, no last exceptions or anything and it worked fine before. I added Andrews Pose Player about a day before but did not get the crashing then. I do have MCCC, WW, Pandas Child Birth Mod, CC and some of your other mods as well. I will test it without the fix and see if this might solve it, but it is strange...

My only concern with marking NPCs as played is that a lot EA and modded features work with a npc test, however, I can understand where you come from. Thank you really much for your answer and this mod!

If you however have great perf and choose to mark all households as 'my household' aka as 'played' via household manager, with this mod installed then these npc's will have their milestones record when they happen on the lot where active Sims are

I know NPCs gain the retroactive ones when they become active, however, it's weird to see an NPC having a bladder failure and then, if you make it part of your family, it's like that never happened.

I thought for sure they would just lay there but I have visited multiple other household infants and they are often sitting up/scooting, etc. I I play heavily modded though, so it's always hard to say what's vanilla vs mod. I do know I don't have a mod to purposely fix it.

2023-04-08 22:24:52 +0000 UTCI had this bug where my sim infant traveled to another family with his parents to "help' a relative with a newborn . I was playing as the newborns family. Apparently everyone in a household (even the dogs) comes on these visits. I noticed while interacting with the infant that he seemed to have none of the milestones - could not sit up, etc - he had gained when I played him. When I rotated to that newborns household the milestones appeared to be permanently gone, they did not reappear just because I was playing that household again. I wondered if this was only caused by the family visit scenario but it sounds like its worse than that. I used your mod to restore the milestones, thank goodness. I think its should be tested under a family visit scenario too, just to make sure, since that coding would be different than what covers normal rotational game play - I imagine?
