We are incredibly lucky to have fans who donate stuff to us. One such fan is exceptionally generous: so far they've sent us I think 6 or 7? big animal inflatables, as well as beachballs and even plasticizer which I'm very stoked to try. I've always wanted a Luna and especially the shiny version but these things are really pricy. Worse yet, Celestine wanted one as well but a different model! Imagine our shock when BOTH were delivered.

The cosplay had to be done pretty quickly, girls being busy as usual. That considered, I think both outfits look fantastic, each great in their own way. Celestine's is a ticking time bomb though if you want to do bouncing. This dress reeeally wants to slip off the boobas. The lav mic also slipped off!

With the costumes and the prop coming together I feel like the weakest link this time was me; I didn't prepare sufficiently and an unfortunate series of circumstances meant we were also late to start. I guess I should be happy I am learning these cinematography lessons at all. In this case I think the image is quite flat and boring when the angle is against the white wall. I should have really focused on shooting from the smart side, against the blackness of the adjacent room. Then again, this would have made another problem (the toy being really quite dark) worse but maybe a few light bars could help out there. Just in general the lighting is a bit all over the place here, unsure whether it wants to be super high key and bright or darker and moodier.

I was also having trouble with my gimbal acting up. It only seems to work well in the woah wowee dutch angle sports mode which is why you've been seeing a lot of that lately. Should probably look into making the roll axis more rigid...

As you can see Carnelian stepped in to help. She inflated most of the toy by herself. It was really nice of her to come after her day job since we needed to do some balloon signing.

The toy was not destroyed completely and since it's a bit of a dream item I really want to send it off to someone within the country to have it repaired. We'll see. Just wanna make that clear if you're wondering about Luna's future.

We have a qipao shoot tomorrow. Let's see if we have time to shoot a 'No, it's fine I just... didn't expect it to be Chinese, that's all-' funny video.
