FFXII: ROB's Wheel c87
Added 2025-03-28 19:16:35 +0000 UTCAlex’s draconic face showed a feral grin as he could sense an absurd advantage he had over Pulse.
It was like an ice-type Pokémon fighting a ground-type and a dragon-type, with him being the ice type. The great hollowed god had no idea how to deal with a virus that feeds on his energy! That single exchange not only began to corrupt the God’s Realm but also consumed his power.
With a roar and powerful beat from his wings, Alex rushed towards a very concerned-looking god.
Powerful steel-like wires rushed towards the incoming black dragon.
But this was where Alex released a purple soundwave-like attack.
It was purple and rushed in all directions.
Julis and Inori quickly got in front of Lightning as they used their energy to cover her from the brutal attack that not only attacks biology but also minds and souls.
“What is with the noise?” Even with virus protection, the sound was driving her mad!
“It's the ‘Song of Apocalypse’, one of the on abilities we can use when we connect our powers.
I am surprised that he can use it without us.” Julis explained as she examined how dangerous the attack on the Hollowed God was.
He started to crystallise!
But this is where he roared, and the spread of the virus has stopped.
Then his shockwave sent them flying out of the God Realm.
“Someone got cold feet!” Alex commented. As he spun around, he noticed they were falling from the top of the Cocoon to the bottom.
He quickly flew over and collected the falling girls.
From the high vantage point, they watched as the vestige slammed into a lake at the bottom and crystallised everything in the area.
The water turned into a crystal lake.
“Damn… I wonder if that Oaf survived.” Lightning commented as she was holding a horn on Alex’s dragon form’s back.
“Who knows, he looked far too childish to me,” Julis commented as she looked around. From such a vantage point, she could see all of Cocoon.
“Because he was… he was twenty years old and still thinks he is a hero.” The girl being a pessimist is something that doesn’t fit well with someone who has a ‘hero’ mentality.
“...”
Julis looked at her with disbelief. What she just heard sounds absurd.
“Yes. That is why I wonder what Serah saw in him.” Lightning looked away as she wondered what was next.
They can’t return to Cocoon’s society. She was branded as someone who needs to be purged, and her sister is a Pulse l’Cie. They have no place in society anymore.
“Hold on tight, we are descending,” Alex’s heavy, draconic voice said from the front as they began to descend towards the crystal lake moments later.
Well, they won’t be going to the crystal lake but to the ancient buildings at the edge of it.
As Alex flew over, everyone could see what kind of explosion it was. Lightning was shocked to see what a Fal’Cie’s death could do.
The Cocoon suffered enormous damage; after all, the lake was important to the citizens.
Now it has become a crystal lake.
After flying a bit, they landed at this building. Well, Alex tried not to break it as after the girls got off, he shrank in size and transformed back into his human form.
“Oof.” The Virus Progenitor dropped on his ass as he begun breathing haggardly.
“Damn…the concequances of this technique…”
Inori, at that moment, walked over and hugged him from behind.
“...”
Such action immediately caused him to recover much faster.
“Much better.”
“...Hnn…”
As the pair were cuddling, Lightning looked at him with a bunch of strange emotions.
For one, she didn’t expect a god to emerge and try to attack them. It was surprise after surprise. Not only did she learn that gods are real, but they are also the ones who brand them!
In addition, the man in front of her was able to fight one of these beings.
“Do you still want to use that method to bring your sister back?” Julis asked as she walked over with crossed arms.
“Of course. There is no other way.”
“But you do know that this method will change her fundamentally.”
“This or she will be asleep for up to a thousand years. It's not a choice, is there?” Lightning sighed in resignation.
“It will bind her to us. She won’t be the same.” Julis said sharply as she looked at her.
“Better than asleep in a crystal, bound to a god’s whim.”
After saying that, she walked over to Alex, who finally stood up.
“Can you release Serah now?” She asked him
“...I know it's like a broken record by this point, but are you sure?”
Instead of saying anything, she grabbed him by the collar and brough her face close.
“You can do that to me, too!”
Instead of saying anything, he looked at her blue eyes for a bit.
“Since you insist.”
He sighed as he motioned for her to let him go.
With a hand motion, he summoned his phone, went through the inventory, and summoned Serah’s crystal.
Once the crystal was before him, he placed his hand, a purple aura surged from him and began to flow into the white crystal.
The crystal began to change colour, turning purple. It looked like corruption. Lightning watched the whole process closely.
Soon enough, the crystal changed colour and began to get darker.
Then…
It cracked. Cracks began to emerge, spreading through the whole crystal.
CRACK
SHATTER!
The crystal shattered, revealing Serah, the girl standing with closed eyes. Her eyes slowly trembled before she opened them. Lightning slightly gasped as she saw rhombus-shaped pupils. After awakening from her slumber, the girl had a certain wild disposition.
“Sis?”
The younger sibling looked confused for a second before she looked at her hands.
“Whoa…I feel… powerful…” She commented before inspecting herself even more, and slowly her expression morphed into a feral grin. Something Lightning has never seen in her sibling.
“She needs to get it out of her system.” Julis chipped in from the side.
“It was the same for us. We went… crazy after transforming for the first time.”
Several strange expressions went through Julis’ face…
“...You…”
Serah’s gaze went from her hand towards the unfamiliar voice.
She stopped on Alex… a heavy blush settled on her face.
“...Who… are you?”
“We can settle on your savior.”
“Oh, I see… it makes sense… You made me into this… while I am happy that I am not sleeping anymore, I have this… itch…” As she said, her hair turned wilder, and the tips of her hair turned white.
“Thankfully, there is a way to satisfy that itch.” He replied while looking in a specific direction. A PSICOM airship just passed by in the distance. It began to land in the crystallised lake.
“...Those…”
Serah’s emotions had an extreme swing as she looked furious.
At that moment, a pair of pink crystal wings emerged from her back. She lifted herself from the ground and began flying towards the entire PSYCOM troops battalion.
“Serah!!!” Lightning exclaimed as she tried to grab her little sister, but the girl was too fast.
“Where is she going!?” the older sibling asked Alex.
“To go on a rampage. She was reborn, and her body goes through extremes. It will take a while for her to calm down.” He said that while recalling bits and pieces of his rampage. It was a blur.
“This…” She looked concerned before grabbing him.
“Turn me as well!”
Alex looked surprised for a second, but that serious gaze made him give in.
If she truly wants to be his that much…
“...Fine…”
Since she was holding him, he might as well channel the virus through her.
Pink-ish purple aura rushed into her through her hand, settling in.
Lightning looked surprised for a second as she realised how strange this power was!
Her body tried to resist, but she felt that it was pointless. This energy consumed her flesh and replaced it with crystals.
‘It's like a virus…’
Before she fully understood her body was consumed, and ‘new’ Lightning awakened.
When she opened her eyes, they were no longer blue. Red eyes with rhombus-shaped pupils gazed at him.
She could feel new emotions, new, new, extremely potent ones. Just thinking about them makes her feel on fire!
“...such power… no wonder you don’t care.”
Now she knew why going against the world meant nothing to these guys. Regular people were like ants to them. All they needed was will, and people would turn into crystal dust.
After realising that she looked at him, since she was very close to him, she had an urge…
So she followed her desire, the girl slammed her lips on his and began to kiss him hungrily.
Now she knew what they meant by changing forever, the ex-soldier girl realised that she had a supernatural bond with the guy before her.
Once the forceful and passionate kiss was over, Lightning pulled back and looked at him.
“We can continue later~ there are things I need to do~” A pair of sharp-looking wings sprouted from her back as she leaped into the air and flew where Serah went too.
“...”
“...”
Inori and Julis looked at this with intrigued gazes. Now they knew how they had behaved a day ago.
“...I wonder what crazy things I did.” Julis pondered out loud. She can’t recall the details, but what she does remember is a huge crystal sword dropping on that building. It was not her who did it, but it was memorable.
“You collected void weapons,” Inori recalled the selection of weapons the pink Princess had.
“Oh.. yes. Now I remember, some sniper tried to kill me.” Julis stroked her chin as she mentally recalled that, and sure enough, weapons around her manifested.
She had four: a knife, a Sniper rifle, Huge Scissors and an Axe.
“Oh…” The Pink Princess looked surprised by these weapons. It would seem that she has some sort of ability to collect them.
‘Maybe each time King’s Power manifests in people, they have different powers?’ Part of her wondered that.
“Not bad, you have a bunch of void weapons.” Alex looked surprised.
“We can test them out now.” He looked where the Faron sisters went.
“Good idea.” With that said, her eyes changed, and round pupils turned rhombus-shaped, and he became a bit wilder.
“I'm going after them! You already had your fun against that god!” A pair of crystal fire wings sprouted from her back as she blasted off.
Leaving Alex and Inori behind.
“Do you want to join them?” He asked her in a calm voice.
“...We should. Those new girls need to calm down. They could cause some serious damage to this beautiful place,” Inori said in a monotone voice. In her eyes, this place was beautiful; she had not seen paradise like this before.
It is worth protecting, and those girls could cause a huge amount of damage as they are angry at the people of this place.
“I was thinking the same thing.” Alex nodded. Part of him was a bit giddy—he had just scored Lightning, and the girl had sold her soul to him.
‘Someone excited, to think that your heart beat would get this fast after turning that girlie into one of your Eves.’ Albion chuckled as he could sense excitement radiating from his host.
‘You have no idea.’
He chuckled as he walked over to Inori and picked her up. Then, his Divine Dividing wings sprouted from his back, and he flew towards where the fighting was happening.
Well, fighting is a strong word, as the pinkettes were slaughtering their way through the army.
The Psicom soldiers only had enough time to leave their cruiser as Serah with clawed hands began cutting through them like a hot knife through butter.
Moments later, Lightning descended with her gun blade. The girl had supernatural speed now, and with her weapon, she was like a predator in a den of cattle. Everything that moved or had black armour was sliced into pieces.
She was so proficient in cutting that it looked like she was a surgeon.
And lastly, Julis landed moments later, and the collateral damage started.
The girl began to burn…everything.
“I don’t think we have anything to do here,” Alex said to the girl in his hands. Inori slowly nodded as she was a bit dissapointed that nothing was left for her.
