The Games We Play- Shaman c59
Added 2025-04-14 19:53:16 +0000 UTCSerafall was confused. Raynor pulled her to his lodge house, away from everyone; she expected…something.
Especially, after all the talk about punishing her, but here she was, waiting for something to happen to her!
Instead, she watched him carving wooden parts for some sort of wooden thingy.
‘It looks like parts for a wooden table.’
The devil lady watched with curiosity as the wood had this weird energy rolling through it. It was the first time she had seen a mere chunk of wood radiate such potent natural energy.
“So what are you doing?” she asked, hands holding her cheeks. The black-haired twin tails wanted to communicate.
“An enchantment table, hopefully.” He explained this while checking the alignment of the wooden part.
“Enchantment table?” What she heard was video game stuff.
“You mean something like artefact maker thingy the wizards and witches have, I heard their stuff is quite decent,” Serafall recalled that those guys are quite annoyed with her for cosplaying as a magic girl, Sera.
‘Now, that I think about it, I missed an episode shooting.’ The current Leviathan is a bit concerned about all the stuff she will miss. Not just her work, but her TV show as well!
“In a way, it's more like adding magic effects to basic things.” He removed his leather gloves and gave them to her.
The black-haired devil lady inspected the gloves. She could see that leather from different beings was used to make them, and the gloves were woven with leather straps.
While it doesn’t look the prettiest, the raw energy radiating from it was something else. There were protective layers of some sort that made her feel that it could mitigate the damage it received.
“Doesn’t it already have magical properties?” The devil lady placed them on, trying them out. She could feel layers of protection, even if the fingers part is open, she could feel that there is protection there.
“What you are feeling is basic layered protection. It even protects you from the cold. I tried that out in Niflhein, something I didn’t know at first.
Maybe it was a natural thing for insulation, because I learned this art in North?” He asked this himself, not knowing for sure.
“If you are channelling for protection purposes, it could be. Protecting oneself from cold is part of it.” Serafall inspected the gloves from a bit of distance. The longer she had them, the more she liked them.
It was comfortable, not stuffy, even if it should be stuffy. On top of that, it made her feel secure. Strange…
“True.” Her reasoning made sense to him. He returned to his carving while Serafall ended up lying on the bed full of furs. She looked at how he was assembling the table. It was rhombus-shaped, with the northern part sliding into the corner of the room.
While the table had the energy to transform items into something else, she wondered how they would be converted.
However, she didn’t need to guess, as soon as Raynor began to carve the tabletop. He was carving a circle, a magic circle—it was archaic. As someone who has wielded circles her whole life, she could tell it was linking directly to nature.
There are symbols of lightning, water, earth, and fire at the corners of the table. Midway into his carving, Serafall is next to him, watching patiently and curiously.
What she saw was outdated by devil-kind standards. It was not flexible or useful. But for stationary use, it was…just right?
‘This whole nature carving style feels just right, is it the magic of this type of use?’ By magic, she doesn’t mean it like energy; what she means is the miracle side of it. When things are just right, it feels like magic.
After carving elements, Raynor did something which made her never consider…
He brought some dirt and placed it on the earth symbols, making a bond with the wood. The light brown turned into dark brown. Then, the Shaman poured some water from a water container, turning the water symbols into light blue. Fire followed, as the fire merged with the symbol, and lastly, lightning. To make that, he created sparks with two stones.
The last part of smacking stone into stone lasted a bit, but eventually the lightning symbols turned light yellow.
With all elements secured, the central circle began to glow in four different colours. As the last was Raynor placing his right hand in the middle of it, and his tattoo began to glow, he was feeding souls into it.
Serafall would have thought it was beautiful to watch until souls were used.
“I can feel it. Now that you have used elements, it has become something like a convergence field, where everything comes together.” Now that he has finished, she can confirm that it’s not a simple table that can add layers of magic to items.
“Yes, I was thinking the same thing,” Raynor replied as he was standing next to her, observing the magic table from a few feet away.
“I think it's time to test it.” The Shaman mentally opened his inventory and went to the latest addition, the cursed ring.
With a casual hand motion, the inventory opened, and the ring dropped on the table. It immediately began to radiate black, smoky mist, revealing its nature.
“What are you going to do with it?” She asked with a bit of concern.
“Into an accessory that I can wield.” He replied to her as his gaze went from the table to her.
“I've been abusing my Shaman abilities as a Hunter far too much. I think I should delve into all that Voodoo magic they are famous for.”
“...Shamans were known for their support on battlefields and would never blow up souls like you do. They used to have a certain amount of respect for the deceased.” Serafall explained in a somewhat perplexed tone.
Since he asked, she explained about real Shamans from North America.
“Indeed, that is why I am Shaman/Hunter, not vanilla Shaman.”
She deadpanned for a second when he called himself like it was a job role from a video game.
“When you synchronise with nature, it significantly elevates base instinct.
It translates into actions. If one purely practises Shamism, the person will be self-aware about nature and its needs, reflecting on the ecosystem.
But I practised Shamanism while slaying animals and harvesting them. Like a Predator, that part of me has been severely augmented.
That is why they call me the Wolf that will Swallow the World.” He explained to her the differences.
“Hmm, if that were the case, then why am I still alive?” she asked curiously. If he were like a predator, then she was a prey.
“Because I still have self-awareness.” He took a step toward her and then faced the twin-tails devil lady.
“I am still a human and a guy; my instincts are evolved, too.” He smiled as his hand went to her chin, and his thumb stroked her lower lip.
“I found a powerful and beautiful girl. Do you think I will simply kill you?” He asked with a raised eyebrow. “At first, I thought of using your power and in the worst case, as a shield.” Her eyes widened as she realised that he could indeed just summon her in front of an incoming attack!
‘That’s one crazy way to deflect an attack!’
“But then I realised that you were more than just a shield, so I pulled you into my bed.”
“And then impregnated me, in other words, I am worthy enough to carry your progeny.” The current Leviathan slightly smirked as he went from literal meat shield to mate. That’s quite an elevation.
Raynor’s finger ended up poking her nose. “Don’t get to complacent, I could turn you into broodmare if you think you can control me in someway.”
She paled for a second, recalling what he did to people who tried to control him.
“I am not crazy enough to do that. I am a devil, not a greedy human.” Serafall quickly shook her head for a bit.
“I know, but a warning won’t hurt.” He calmed her down before leaning forward and kissing the Ex-Sitri on her lips. The kiss lasted for a bit before he pulled back and looked at her blue eyes.
“Since this is the case, you will make some stuff for me, maybe even give a dragon, it's only fair!” The black-haired twintails pouted at him.
Her inflated cheeks caused Raynor to chuckle. “We will see, after all, you need to show me that you can do the job.”
His reply made her eyes glimmer with resolve. Is he testing her abilities as a woman?
Since she can’t return to her job, honestly, she wouldn’t even go as those old geezers and envoys from other supernatural factions would pick up that Raynor knocked her up.
That means she has a lot of free time… time to prepare!
“Are you saying that I can’t do this job?” She narrowed her eyes while looking at him.
“I don’t know; that is why I am saying that we will see. Perform well, and you will be awarded. It's only fair, no?” He looked back at her narrowed eyes as she looked seriously at him.
“Fair enough.” Serafall nodded, agreeing that it was fair. She performs at her best, and in return, she gets a dragon pet and maybe some strange items or other stuff…
Now that she has tested these gloves, she wants a full set.
‘Maybe it's because of what he did to me that I want it.’ Honestly, it was maybe the case. After all, she wanted things related to magic girls. But now, her tastes are changing?
“Good. Then let’s see if I can refine the ring.” Raynor rolled his sleeves up and walked to the enchantment table.
The tattoos on his hands began to glow as he began to ‘weave’ magic around the ring. With each motion, he slashed the black mist a bit.
Just a couple of minutes into weaving, the devil lady could see that he was turning the black mist into a string that was wrapping around the ring.
‘He was taking control of the negative emotions and wrapping around the ring. In other words, he is not allowing it to leak.
However, the issue is whether he could wear it. Nature energy is a well-known energy that can be influenced by other energies. If he wears it, it could eventually consume the protection.
Moments after the mist was gone, the ring had a pitch black colour. It was so dark that it was consuming light itself.
“Now for the finishing touches.” Raynor pulled out his carving knife.
“What are you…” Serafall wondered how he would contain the negative emotions, but would he carve them?
“Watch.” He used wind magic to lift and rotate the ring. Then, he used the knife to start carving tribal letters. The cuts were small and on the back side of the ring.

Before long, the ring’s darkness shrank and merged with the gold.
“Of course, you turned gold into cursed gold! The metal will work like a conduit for the negative emotions.
Fascinating…” The Ex-Sitri understands what just happened.
“You will be able to channel the negative emotions through magic.” She realised what this ring could do!
“Not fun that you can see through this so easily.” He motioned for the ring to fly into his hand. He caught it and checked it out.
It was a golden ring, but its true nature can be seen in the tribal cuts, which were black letters.
“I am Satan. I've seen stuff like that.” She shrugged at his response.
“But this is good.” The black haired beauty walked over to him.
“You can make magical items. That is a rare gift.” The twintails smiled at him.
“Is it?” He inspected the ring before putting it on. The moment he did, he could feel a strange cold layer of energy wash over him.
He looked at her. He could see a bit of darkness radiating from her.
It was extremely muffled, but it was there.
‘Oh… I can see… negative emotions…’
Obviously, it was not just THAT, there was more to it.
But it was not a bad side effect to perceive how people were feeling. Raynor gazed at her for a bit more; the longer he looked at her, the more he could… understand her negative emotions.
“Yes. You might not have known this, but there is a large set of items that is connected to the Heaven of our world.”
“You mean the Sacred Gears? My items might be decent and good for a hunt, but they are nowhere near that level.” Raynor rolled his eyes as he looked at the ring on his right hand.
“I don’t mean it like that.” She huffed before explaining to him. “What I am saying is that we, my kin, are well aware how items could be influential.
From your clothes to the ring. You made them recently when you were not experienced. I wonder how amazing they will be in a decade or two.” She was excited to see that.
“Yes, I understand, but I need a source to make them ‘great’.” Raynor clenched his right hand a couple of times, testing out how well it fit him.
If it gets in the way, then… well, he will need to chuck it away for future use.
“Of course. That is why it's exciting. I wonder what else you can do with stuff found in this primitive world.” She looked excited for a second.
“Don’t tell the locals that you see them as ‘primitive’.” Raynor chuckled when he heard that. Even Serafall sometimes slips, or maybe she said that on purpose.
“It’s the simple truth.” She shrugged before explaining to him.“ With how long the civilisation was around here, they should have decent amount of social to technological advancement.
But alas, unlike humans from our world, they were stuck at the same level for thousands of years.
We have recorded history for only around 5 thousand years. Well, there were civilisation extinction events that caused resets before that.
Regardless, human civilisations in our world existed for a shorter amount of time and achieved more.” Serafall tried to explain, but Raynor had an answer for that.
“We are in a book. Of course, we are stuck in medieval times.” He replied in a ‘duh’ tone.
HMPH!
“Regardless, I am annoyed that I had to lay down pipes in a primitive castle built from blood magic!” The black haired twintails pouted with inflated cheeks at him.
The devil girl was still annoyed. He could see negative emotions around her flair a bit.
‘Fascinating.’
The Shaman was intrigued by the new ability he gained from the ring. If he could interact with negative emotions in people, then he could cause so much chaos.
It makes him excited just from thinking about it.
“I apologise, my darling Sera, but you have been the only one I could trust with such a thing.” Raynor got closer to her and pulled her into a hug.
“Then you have to reward me, in some way!” She puffed like a hamster.
“Oh, what do you desire, Serafall?” The Wolf King wrapped his hands around her waist and gently pulled her closer to himself.
“Hmm, for starters, I want leather armour like yours.” Her eyes inspected the leather armour he was wearing, and her hands brushed through the material.
“Interesting. I never thought that you would be into my leather stuff, " he replied to her request.
“I never was, but then I changed my mind.” The devil's beauty brought her face closer to his. It could be that you changed me after what you did, " she whispered before bringing her lips closer to her chin. Her warm voice tickled his skin. The devil beauty was teasing him; it was obvious that she wanted to do… something.
“It could be, after all, I am bathing you in nature.” He whispered into her ear.
Serafall giggled as his words meant several things.
“Maybe, but it is getting late, and tomorrow you will leave me behind for several days. That is why you have to make sure I am satiated~~~” The current Leviathan Satan suggested with a heated look.
“Of course.” Raynor’s hands sneaked down on her bum, squeezing it, his actions caused the twin tails devil lady to grin as she had a naughty look.
He picked her up and took her to his bed.
It will be an eventful night.
~~~~~~Next Morning~~~~~~
Serafall yawned as her eyes fluttered open. The Black-Haired Devil Lady smiled, feeling amazing, unlike her first time with Raynor. It was proper lovemaking.
Her first time with him was more like him ‘eating’ her. This made her smile morph into a smirk, as she knew that he was behaving differently around her.
It was great! In fact, it was fantastic! She is feeling a bit weird, in a good way.
“So it’s like that…”
The Satan Leviathan realised that she might have developed a form of affection for him.
Snort
‘Should be obvious, stupid me! After all…’ The girl stroked her tummy. Making her realise that he claimed her, and now she can’t escape or doesn’t want to escape.
It’s strange.
“Interesting, isn’t it?” Grayfia’s voice brought her back from her thoughts.
Serafall's gaze went to the side. She saw the silver-haired, red-eyed Lucifuge.
“What’s interesting?” Serafall asked the devil maid.
“It’s that you realised where you belong.”
“Huh?” The Black haired devil wasn’t sure she was getting that!
“Your body is changing, you are becoming a mother, which means you want to ‘settle down’. I've been there before.” The Devil maid clarified.
“That is crazy! I don’t want to be in this gloomy castle!” The Twin-tails girl exclaimed in horror. There is no way she likes this place!
“Not that. Not the place, but the person.” Grayfia rolled her eyes, making Serafall relax to some extent.
