Three black dragons surrounded Raynor as he was grinning from ear to ear. He finally got it! His Red Eyes set is complete!

“And three spell cards too. Not bad, it started with three eggs with no power, now I have twelve cards.” He checked his new cards.

The Red Eyes Black Dragon is the usual 2400 attack and 2000 defence. But what got his attention was the Black Inferno card.

He was certain it wasn’t like that…but this one halves Red Eyes’ attack in half and then allows direct attack.

Such a spell is quite good for the duels he will be in, as everyone here has 4000 lifepoints.

“Great, so now what?” Magician’s Valkyrie asked. 

Raynor was thinking of checking her place, but he was feeling something strange.

“There is something in this area that is calling me.” He said to her as his dragons returned to him. It appears that they can’t speak yet. Considering they are only one day old.

“Oh? That is interesting! Let’s go then!” 

Raynor looked at her for a second. She is not afraid that something bad will come? 

In the end, he shook his head as he began to follow the intent.

Before long, they arrived at a cavern big enough for a human to enter.

‘Okay…this is first.’

By this point, he has seen dragon nests and dragon resting places. Sadly, no eggs, but this is the first time for a human-sized cavern in dragon lands.

As he walked deeper, he found a carved-out room; it was dusty but had a smooth design, something man-made for sure.

“T-This is a Ritual Room!” Magician’s Valkyrie exclaimed in surprise. “Similar to the one in Spellcaster town!”

Raynor stiffly nodded as he looked at the centre of the room.

Two crossed swords, two places for fire…

‘That emblem…’

“This is… Black Luster Ritual Room…” The Slifer duelist said to her as he could see an armoured soldier…it was like a vision, he could see it!

“The legendary Black Luster!? Like the one who used to ride the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!?” The Valkyrie gawked at that!

“We are in Dragon territory, no? I can guess that is why this ritual site is here.” Raynor reasoned, before looking at the two swords.

He walked over and placed his hand on one of the swords.

Now that he has done it, he can tell that this will work; the ritual card is accepting him. Like… it was supposed to be like that!

With this confirmation, he closed his eyes and ‘pulled’ the whole room began to glow.

“Umm…is it supposed to happen?” Valkyrie looked worried for a second, as it was too bright. Next moment, they were standing outside… the cavern was gone!

“It worked…” Raynor looked awed; he could tell! He got it! 

He checked his top card; it was a spell card, the Black Luster Ritual! But it was not all!

There is something else!

The Spirit Duelist focused on his hand, and it began to glow. A blue card formed in his hand, and it was like magic now! He can summon Black Luster Soldier at will! 

Well, not in an official duel, in a duel he still needs to sacrifice level 8 monsters combined, but the cheat in all of this is that he doesn’t need to draw the ritual monster card to use it.

Nope, he can form it at any time…

ROAR

At that moment, all of his happiness vanished as he heard several dragon roars. When he looked upwards, he saw three Blue-Eyes White Dragons, two Red-Eyes Dragons, an Eastern serpentine Dragon and several more. At the front was the Eastern Dragon, standing on the dragon’s head was a man dressed in dragon armour.

“Enough of your pillaging, human, I came to see you personally. Come to my tower, we shall duel.”

The Lord of Dragons said with a serious tone. Raunor could tell that this guy was pissed.

Though he didn’t even wait for a reply, as he turned around and flew away towards the white tower in the distance.

“In that case.” The duelist pulled out his Tyrant Dragon card.

“W-Wait for a second! You can’t just duel Lord of Dragons! His deck is full of crazy monsters!” Valkyrie almost yanked him back into her hands.

“I know, but I have a general idea of what to expect, and now it's a perfect opportunity to decide the stakes in this duel.” 

She stopped for a second.

“In that case, there is something that I could get you before we go.” The Spellcaster looked serious.

“Hmm? What do you mean?” He asked, curious.

“A trap card. We Spellcasters learn spells, those spells eventually become spell or trap cards, like how you got my Spellbinding Circle.

Before I became your spirit, I was learning another trap, never successfully learned it, but now… with your help, I could do it.”

As she said that, the Valkyrie began to focus her magic, and Raynor tried to understand what she meant. That was until he felt a familiar feeling.

“Oh… this will definitely come in handy!” 

He grinned as he placed his hand on her, and then a familiar trap card formed in his hand. He just formed a card from a spell she used just now.

The process was similar to how he formed the Castle Walls!

“And I thought you won’t come.” The Lord of Dragons spoke; he was standing before Raynor, sitting on an imposing throne…

The tower and the throne looked as if it was made from marble, they were on the roof of the throne.

Meaning that it was under an open sky… totally badass in Raynor’s opinion. It was a bit crazy, but then again, it was a magic world… who needs a roof over their heads?

“Sorry, your invitation was a surprise; I needed to prepare.”

“No amount of preparations will save you, human.” The Dragon Lord stood up and began to walk towards Raynor.

“If I win, you will cease with your pillaging and will join my realm for all eternity.” The Lord of Dragons laid out the conditions of this duel.

“And if I win, this realm will be mine, and you shall join my deck.” The teen swiftly replied.

“Hah, such arrogance, very well, though be careful what you wish for, human.” The armoured man lifted his hand and..

The entire…area shook as streaks of light rushed towards his hand from the entire land. Cards began to form, and the entire deck formed in a matter of seconds.

‘This is what Valkyrie said! This guy is a legit powerhouse!’ 

Raynor realised that this guy formed a deck from the entire area!

Once the Lord of Dragons had his cards, a duel disk formed, which looked as if it were made from a dragon's wing.

With duel disk formed the dragon lord placed his deck into the provided slot.

Raynor followed his lead and activated his Slifer Duel Disk.

“Duel!”

“Duel!”

Both of them drew five cards and checked their hand.

“I shall start first.” The armoured Ruler of Dragons drew the sixth card, placed it in his hand and then selected another.

“I summon White Dragon’s Chick in attack position.” On the field, a small white dragon appeared It looked cute.

“Since I successfully summoned my dragon, its special effect is activated.” The armoured man declared.

“By sending the chick to the graveyard, I can special summon my Blue-Eyes White Dragon!”

With a hand motion, a white dragon manifested next to the Lord of Dragons.

‘Holy… in a single turn, he got Blue Eyes!’ A few beads of sweat rolled down Raynor’s forehead. He was feeling nervous about the whole situation!

“Next, I activate my field spell! This is no normal field spell, this is my domain!” The Dragon guy showed the card to Raynor. What the duelist saw was the picturesque image of the location they were in…

“I activate Dragon Lord’s Domain Field Spell!” 

With the card sliding into the field spell slot, the surroundings…shifted.

Raynor looked around, and he realised that they had moved from the tower’s roof to the outskirts, as the tower was now on the horizon.

“This is no simple field spell card, human. Once I activate this once per turn, I can spell summon a level four or lower dragon on top of my regular summoning.

But that is not all, because all the monsters on my side of the field get a power boost of 500 points.”

“What? That’s nonsense! What kind of cheat is this?” The Slifer Duelist complained. This was a BS field spell!

“Ha! Once you rule your domain, you have your field spells.” Dragon guy snorted before activating the field spell.

“I special summon Blackland Fire Dragon in attack position!” 

A slender western green dragon appeared next to Blue Eyes White Dragon.

With the field spell, even this level four dragon had 2000 attack power.

“I end my turn.”

‘In a single turn, this guy summoned enough firepower to end the duel.’

Raynor gulped nerviously before drawing a card.

“Nice! I activate my pot of greed.” He used the card he just drew from the deck.

“Now I draw two more cards.” 

His eyes gleamed for a bit as he got a good pull!

“Now I summon a familiar monster, Black Dragon’s Chick.” A small black dragon appeared on the field.

“You have quite the guts to use my dragons.” The Lord of Dragons angrily complained.

“You know this dragon’s effects, don’t you? So I don’t need to explain.”

Raynor activated the chick’s effect, and a proper Red-Eyes Black Dragon was summoned to the field.

“Now Red-Eyes attack his Blackland dragon!”

With a blast of blackish flames, the level four dragon was destroyed.

The Dragon Guy didn’t even react when his life points went down by 400 points.

“Before I finish my turn, I place two cards face down.”

Two face-down cards appeared in front of Raynor as he finished his turn.

“Hmph, pointless endeavour, you just made me mad, human!” The Lord of Dragons drew his card.

“I activate my field spell card and special summon Luster Dragon to the field from my hand.

Next, I tribute my Luster Dragon to Summon Juvenile Blue Eyes White Dragon to the field!” 

A slender white dragon appeared in place of Luster Dragon.

“Since My Blue Eyes Juvenile Dragon was successfully summoned, my dragon’s special ability activated.

I take another Blue Eyes White Dragon from my deck to my hand.” One of the cards singled itself out in the deck, and the Dragon Lord took it.

“Now, I activate my spell card… Polymerisation and fuse all three of my Blue-Eyes White Dragons!” 

The Dragon Guy lifted a green card above his head as two more dragons manifested around him.

Next moment, all three Blue Eyes flew upwards and merged into one. 

“Witness the birth of my Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!”

With a burst of light, a single white dragon with three heads manifested behind the Lord of Dragons.

Its attack power also increased by 500 points.

“You are finished, human! Blue Eyes Juvenile Dragon attack his Red-Eyes!”

Blue Eyes Juvenile Dragon is a level five monster with an attack power of 2000 and 1500 defence.

With the field spell, it has more power than Raynor’s Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

“Not so fast! I activate my trap card, Reinforcements! This trap boosts my Red-Eyes Black Dragon attack by 500 points!”

The trap activated, and a red aura surrounded the Black Dragon. 

Blue-Eyes Juvenile released a blast of white energy, but Red-Eyes intercepted it with black flames. The flames overpowered the white lightning and destroyed the juvenile dragon.

Once again, Dragon Lord received 400 points of damage, lowering his lifepoints to 3200.

“Your feeble resistance is only making me angrier! My Ultimate Dragon destroy that traitorous Dragon with your white thunder blast!”

The three-headed dragon opened its mouths and was about to attack.

“I don’t think so! I was waiting for this! I activate my other trap card! Spellbinding circle!” With a hand motion, the face-down card was revealed to be a trap.

A magic circle paralysed the fusion monster in place.

“...I end my turn.” The Dragon Lord looked frustrated.

Raynor can only assume that this dragon guy’s deck is full of insanely powerful monsters, but from minuscule support, it could have most likely only spell cards and a few trap cards related to Lord of Dragons.

“My turn!” It was time for the next round!
